Uh-oh, here it comes! EVERY time a fighter loses, a simpleton pops out with this predictable garbage.
He won WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF and Ring HW titles Beat 2 reigning champions Went over 30 fights unbeaten Won British, Commonwealth and European HW titles I think he was very good
not really, no. not as good as he was built up to be by boxing media. his flaws were never exploited, which puzzled me. but then again, i kept wondering how so many kept finding joyce hard to beat. he is an incomplete fighter in a sea of incomplete fighters, all under the rule of a more complete fighter.
Tyson Fury is physically very talented, but mentally very weak. He could have been a truly great heavyweight if he were able to stay in shape and stay focused. His gluttony and drug abuse ruined his career. He looked okay in the second Wilder fight, but from Wilder III on he's looked like an age fifty-something drunk. He should have come in lighter for last night's fight. He was focused, but his excess weight slowed him down and he looked tired and wasn't sharp in the second half of the fight. I'm sorry but your best win can't be Deontay Wilder. Say that out loud right now I swear to God you will feel ridiculous. Usyk was arguably the first time he really and truly stepped up and he got spanked 2x by a middleweight.
Fury is a quality fighter. Usyk is just better. The problem Fury has us he never fought AJ or Parker, but his victories over Wlad and Wilder as quality.
His best win is Wladimir Klitschko, the guy who was the unified champion and the best possible opponent at the time. To not consider that a high level win is just ridiculous. Wilder was the undefeated WBC champion at the time, that's also a high level win. Fury was the underdog in both fights. Everyone has lost to Usyk so far lol. There's no shame in losing to Usyk.
Not really, he was just one of the best of a bad era. Most of his career was before Usyk moved up to HW and after Lennox and the Klitschkos were in their prime so the competition was weak.
