I've heard it a few times that when opponents weren't scared of him he'd fall apart. Where does this idea come from, and is it true?
um..yea its obvious he was dependent of customato and the people surrounding him,,he was like a stray dog that need guidance and once that guidance left he turned into a wild animal,he had the skill but his disapline was connected to his supporting cast...
Ugh. The whole "Tyson lost to anyone who stood up to him" is another phrase I list under- phrases used by people who dont know **** about boxing, so they just repeat dumb **** that other people who dont know **** about boxing say."
No. He was strong-willed. He got up at 4 to run in his prime and stepped into the ring and destroyed grown men weighing 220lbs and more (and less). He pushed himself to the limit of human endurance in the gym for fights people knew wouldn't go 6 rounds. Does he have tide-turning heart and the unbendable mental strength of a Holyfield or an Ali? Absolutely not.
Ruddock stood up to him. He got smashed. Pinklon Thomas wasn't scared. He got smashed. Tucker wasn't scared. He lost. The list goes on. You need more then a little courage to beat Mike.
No. But I bet if you test him, he is borderline ******ed. Loved him as a fighter. But the guy is just too stupid.
