how he got one title shot is beyond me. yet he got two, against Moorer and Holyfield. before the Moorer fight, his best win was against a guy with a 7-6-1 record. his best win before facing Holyfield was against a guy whose record was 11-6-1. safe to say he never had a decent victory in his career. he beat a guy who was 18-8 before facing Vitali Klitschko for a naba belt. things like this are why boxing is now a non entity in the states.
Bean is a great guy. He coaches young boxers at Carver Park, here in Chicago. Carver Park is literally in the center of a housing project, called Altgeld Gardens. Regardless of his status as a contender, Bean has a big heart. And he is a legitimate tough guy in real life.
