Alot of people are talking about how slow Vitali is looking in the ring.

I don't deny that his feet certainly look heavy. However, was Vitali ever that fast? Watch his 'best' fight vs Lewis and I can't see a massive speed increase back then.

He still has relatively fast hands and reactions. They do seem to have slowed a bit, but for a 41 year old who weighs 240+ pounds and has had a few serious injuries, he certainly isn't bad in that department.

The Charr fight was a mismatch, we all know it. Vitali could have done no preparation and still won comfortably.

Would a more motivated Vitali rise to the occasion against Haye?

For a man of his size, he was fast.
**** his hand speed ain't too shabby now at 41 yrs of age.
I think he still has the tools to beat haye e.g his hand speed etc
his footwork would be his undoing in that fight though,Haye would connect at some point.
Vitali has an iron chin, but so did Chisora and Haye was eventually able to crack that.
    The fight needs to happen!

    it's astounding a 6'7 245 lbs man moves so quickly at 41

don't be fooled by the Charr fight, Vitali could of gone into slow-motion and still cracked through Charr's turtle-shell defense, although the reflexes are going downhill, he's still surprisingly quick, given all the injuries he had to endure throughout his career
