Was Vitali telegraphing his stategy for Haye?

    I saw the brief video of Vitali punching David Haye on the arm causing Haye to flinch and laugh nervously. I think the huge Ukrainian ring general was giving us all a hint as to how he intends to fight David. He's not going to mindlessly try and land pin[point headshots on the very speedy and much smaller man. No, I see him concentrating on just landing on Haye. Do a modern day Marciano on Haye's small-framed carcass. Hit him on the arms, shoulders, throw body shots to the belly area, the chest and even pole-axe David by shots to the top of the head like he did at times with the much shorter Peter. I don't see him head-hunting by looking for perfect shots to the chin area. He's going to be content with just connecting with his powerful punches and keeping David on the defensive. If David charges at some point then Vitali might shoot for a clean punch to the chin and finish it quickly. All said a very brutal night for little Davey. You're thoughts???

    maybe you're reading too much into an arm punch.

    It should be, if Vitali is still Vitali, and he still has those reflexes to lean away from Haye's attacks. If Haye's speed can bewilder the big man it could then get interesting. One thing about Vitali is he uses different strategies for different opponents. And so far all of them have worked. Haye presents a unique new challenge though. this fight is going to be huge. No contracts have even been signed yet, it's six months away but already people are discussing it as much as any other big fight in recent times. No matter who wins, the sport wins from this fight.

    That is the best strategy and makes it a lot easier as the rounds go by.

    Yes, Haye is very unique as a challenger; he is small-framed for a fairly tall guy yet hits very hard and with speed. Naturally he is fast on his feet and can move faster than most heavy's who are just bigger framed men. I sense that Vitali sees this factor to be Haye's vulnerability. How fragile is this guy? What happens if I just start landing bombs on his chest, arms, shoulders, etc. Maybe, I am looking too much into that arm punch in the video but I've never seen Vitali touch anybody or harass another fighter like he has so far with Haye. I think he intends to give David a full-body beatdown and is telegraphing is intentions to David.

    Hang on.

    So you've watched a video of Vitali jokingly tapping Haye's arm and managed to figure out his entire fight plan? :huh

    Can you look at my lottery ticket and tell me the numbers that will come?

    No, not really. "Tiger, tiger burning bright;
    In the forest of the night.
    What immortal hand or eye,
    Dare, frame thy fearful symmetry?"

    THAT'S DEEP.

    He's hardly going to bang him in the mouth out the ring, so I think he hit him on the arm because you can get away with it.
    I think its going to be a great fight and am wondering how Vitali is going to respond once he has been tagged a few times with Hayes big shots.

    It's Vitali who has the glass shoulder, not Haye.

    If anybody should be implementing this strategy it's Haye, Vitali's body is liable to fall apart at any time.
