Was Whyte fully fit for this fight?

Fury said it...he toyed with him in sparring and Hughie had to take over.

 

He didn’t seem his usual self cause Tyson Fury was like no one he had ever fought before. After seeing last nights performance I rate Fury higher than I ever have before.

 

He has gassed before but not so early. He looked tired after 2 rounds

 

Standing and in the firing line for another right hand while his eyes self-examined the frontal cortex. As you point out, Fury's such a gentleman he pushed Whyte over to save him unnecessary punishment.

Wilder made the same mistake in fight 2 and Joshua made the same mistake fighting Takam at 254 although he got the win

 

Fury is lethal with those short uppercuts on the inside. Didn't even land it flush either.

 

Yes, albeit only for Fury to have a free shot and basically lobotomise Whyte with a left hook.

 

Styles make fights. Fury was all wrong for Whyte

 

Dillian probably didn't think it was so lovely. He really is a sucker for uppercuts.

 

I said all week I thought isolating himself and then suddenly being thrown straight into the lions den was a bad move. He should have involved himself in the build up, to get a feel for it. For me he looked extremely nervous all week.

Not that it would have made any diifference, Fury is levels above.

 

I think whytes glass jaw added to the spectacle. As you rightly said it didn't even land flush. The push also helped as whyte was exhausted at the point and having to haul his rotund body off the canvas took the last dregs out of him.
Not making excuses for Whyte as I've never rated him but I find it annoying that fury beating up overated fighters like wilder and Whyte and stinking out the joint against Klitschko automatically makes him an all time great. It seems to easy to achieve greatness in this era

 

I agree. I think Whyte didn't train properly for this fight. He was there just for his paycheck.
