Was Winky Wright shot?

his legs were gone, but he still had sharp hands, he looked about how i expected him too. clearly not the old Wink but....not Roy shot

 

I thought he had slipped in the Huggy bear fight to be honest, apart from the weight he was made to fight at.

But on last nights showing i cant see him fighting again, imo.

 

Not completely shot, but definately not the Winky we are used to seeing.

hmm says...
he looked kinda the same.... same style but just slower. I give him 2-3 more fights then call a quits. His defensive technique is there, just his punching power is still not great.

 

He should eat himself up to light heavy and fight Roy Jones. His stamina & legs look weak making 160 again.

 

he would beat 90% of the guys between 160-154 ... STILL!

He looked like a 37-year-old in the ring with a busy, bigger 27-year-old.

 

No way was he shot. Did he look like a guy who hasn't fought in 2 years, fighting a guy 10 years younger than him? Yes. Did he look shot? No.

 

His legs looked good IMO. He just lost steam absorbing all those punches. Wink is not shot..he's just not as quick nor was he on point with his timing.

For what its worth Wink could have done a lot better but he was a bit rusty. With that said.....that Wink who lost to Paul would have beaten MOST fighters, with or without the rust. Paul is just a very underrated boxer. Wink is not war torn or old, shot or done. He just lost to a younger promising champion. Paul deserves full credit.

Ring rust, no legs, bad style match and near the end of his career. What do you expect from these old boxers?
