    henry armstrong v fritzie zivic 3 ?

he turned out not to be 'washed up' completely, but the press at the time said he was.

For some reason recent examples are coming to mind.

    Roy Jones against Calzaghe.

Even Shannon Briggs taking a beating against Vitally Klitschko, put the younger fighters who took his beatings into perspective.

    1) Bobby Chacon, storming back and knocking down Bazooka Limon with seconds left in the 15th round to win the WBC Super Featherweight title. What a fight that was.

    2) Larry Holmes, giving Ray Mercer a boxing lesson

    3) Thulane 'Sugar Boy' Malinga beating Nigel Benn in 1996 and Robin Reid in 1997 at the age of 40 & 41 to win the super middleweight title. Had been beaten in 1989 by Graciano Rocchigiani and in 1990 by Lindell Holmes and in 1992 by Chris Eubank trying to win that title

One moment that I enjoyed was when former lightweight champion Jimmy Paul defied the odds to defeat up and coming prospect Todd Foster. He fought a beautiful fight.
