Wow, an actual good contender vs contender hw fight. I can't remember the last time one was announced. Washington is much more proven but Miller is more hyped. I think it will go down like the last fight reminiscent of that went, Brazaele vs Izu, with the more proven fighter beating the more hyped fighter in a fun, close affair. Washington will use his superior jab and skills and Miller's best chance, his power, is more at the level of Mansour than Wilder, which I think he can handle. I could be wrong about the result, it's a real 50/50 type affair, but I think either way the winner becomes a clear top 10 hw. Who do you think takes it?
I think Miller's pressure will get to him midway, Gerald has a 5 round gas tank, and after the 5th Big Baby will take over and stop him late.
Could definitely go down like that. It will be fun to watch either way and I don't have a big rooting interest. I just hope it comes off and doesn't get cancelled as the last couple hw contender fights did. Hey, I'd still be interested in your top 15 hws of the past 50 years if you think of it.
Wow, what a good fight. I assumed this thread was just about a theoretical fight between those two. Very surprised it's actually happening. Tough call. I think I expect a Miller win, but a Washington win wouldn't surprise me either.
I was going to mentioned that in the above post, I'll get to it, I've been busy today, I'll get to it, I promise.
miller IMO will KTFO washington as soon as he lands a nig shot miller by ko in 3 or 4 rounds. washington has little power so miller who is a fighter prepared to take a punch to get his power punch`s off will try to walk through him. mansour did as well but miller is 4 inch`s taller and has reach as well kist feet stock in mud and too much weight will slow him down
Why would Wilder have taken years from him? He landed like one or two clean shots on him and the ref jumped in early...
Washington will outbox Miller but GW's questionable stamina may be his downfall in the second half of the fight.
Huh? You're proving my point, those we're all months and literally YEARS ago. We should be getting two or three good contender on contender fights a month. That's how it worked up until the last few decades. Edit. Oh, didn't see your highlight. Yeah, I wasn't arguing that's how it always or even usually goes, just that this time I think the hype is a little over boiled. But I could definitely be wrong.
