Boring fight- Sam was easy to pot shot- Vitali was scared to mix it, scared to get cut- looked tired after 4th..I have to say Haye should be fighting this Klitch, not Wlad
Well, I guess there are several ways to see a fight. Man! He was landing like 90% percantage! I've never seen a fighter landing with that accuracy. Of course it's boring when you can't stop landing and the other guy can't stop eating punches. No knockdown but Peter took a very serious amount of huge punches and quit on stool before Vitali actually could knock him out. Vitali was chopping him down, KO was coming, Peter knew it, so it was time to quit. Also, Peter's punch output was limited by Vitali to 20 punches per round and landing like 20%. You should give credit for that. What more could you expect from a fighter who's coming back from a 4 year layoff and fighting the 2nd best HW without a tune-up?
I posted yesterday how it would only be a matter of time before the Haye fans started proclaiming him better which is funny because not 2 days ago most people were saying the exact same thing about Peter. You know what though? I hope you get your wish I hope Haye steps up and tries it with Vitali I truly do because like the Peter fight I have no doubt of the outcome none whatsoever and it would be hilarious watching Haye get starched, really. Vitali is, was and will forever be better than Wlad. Haye ducked Skelton what do you think Vitali would do to him? Seriously, if you want to see a matchup then say so but don't come online and log a post proclaiming an unproven talent would dominate the greatest HW currently active who has time and time and time AND TIME again proved you wrong...........
It's Vitali's style that made Sam look bad, then again Sam didn't really try as he just had nothing to offer there, kept doing the same thing over and over with no plan B. For a man coming off 4 years lay-off with serious injuries Vitali looked great.
Vitali just can't get respect with some people. He just acomplished one of the truly impressive comebacks in boxing history, won every half - minute of every round against a titleholder who was generally regarded as the second best HW in the world and you were not impressed... Scared? Vitali stuck his chin out and kept his arms low once he realized how good his reflexes still were. He was totally in control and looked like he could pick it up at any time. Perhaps it was smart to not go all out immediately in his first fight after four years?
I thought Vitali's hands looked good. Timing was there, albeit against a slow guy, but still impressive was the accuracy, and variety of angles in which he punched. His legs though, they didn't look as good. Which is understandable considering his age and the lay-off. He always move sort of robotically ans stiff, but he used to be able to cover more ground, and was a bit quicker when he slided back. I don't think he's a s good as when we last saw him, but I think he's got enough to beat up most the guys out there.
Werd 100%. People on ESB seem to diminish wins when a fighter puts on an impressive performance (ex. corrales-mayweather/toney-RJJ)
on the other hand Haye could receive a telegram from the queen by the time one of Vitali's shots had got near him. He looked slow as hell, Peter was absolutely dreadful. I'm surprised Peter didn't change his plan a bit, standing still and being punched in the face was never going to win him the fight. He had success on the limited occasion he'd go to the body, he couldn't reach his head, but Peter last night was the worst heavyweight champ I have ever seen... utter utter garbage and an insult to the division that someone that utterly crap can hold straps. HW division is in SERIOUS trouble.
Vitali made the current heavyweight champion look like a punching bag. He didn´t looes a round, he didn´t get hit, his workrate was as good in the 8th as it was in the first, he fought carefull and completely destroyd him.
I know I'm never impressed when a fighter comes back from a four year lay-off and completely dominates and embarrasses the consensus #2 heavyweight in the world.
He fougth how he neede to win.He hada 4 year layoff, did you really expect him to brawl and not get tired? He looked good
And Vitali cannot box Haye the way he boxed Peter. Vitali had no respect for Peter at all and would have to box Haye with a completely different game plan. Vitali could'nt go in against Haye with his hands low like that a pot shot him at will. I dont rate Wlad and believe Haye would destrory him but Vitali is Hayes toughest test and thats the fight that shouldbe made. Vitali vs Haye is THE fight! I would favour Vitali to win the fight but there are so many question marks over both fighters tbh.
