I have been saying it for awile... The Wlad fight took alot out of Peter. I think Peter was totally intimidated to be in the ring with a Klitschko again. I think he lost the mental fight as soon as the WBC announced the fight. Like I said last night. Sam dropped back to being a "C" level fighter last night. I think it was due to the fighting a Klitschko.
What bollocks. For all his obvious faults Peter stood there and just took shots for 24 full minutes against a 250lb heavyweight. No balls? :nut
I was impressed and I am not a Klit fan... In fact I will go as far enough to say that whether we like it or not the Klits run the heavyweight division...
I think you may well be right, but I wasn't going to post it because I'd have been accused of hating again. Not that I give a **** Having said that regardless of anything else the win does taint WALDS win a bit, and also elevates Lewis even further, despite Peter looking like **** :hey
I agree... Sam should have gotten a new team. I had mentioned before to Suge White.... When I was in camp with Cintron in the Poconos, Peters camp was also there.... they were the most unorganized camp I have ever seen. Everyone wants to be in charge but no one is. They all scream at eachother. Sam walks out of training.. It was a joke.... that was during ToneyI... And the team was basically the same for this fight. What a joke. Team Klitschko knew this thats why they didnt go for a tune-up fight
:tired Wow you're one top notch analyst. You're describing most of Ali's fights except when he got older and couldn't control a fight w/constant movement. Oh East London, that's also how many described LL fights - which was just as lame as your post :tong
I dont think so. Most would say that Sam was mentally strong and his confidence was sky high. Sam was hungry and was undefeated at the time. He was KOing guys big time. He was a stronger fighter back then. But after the Wlad fight, I think Sam went down hill. I dont think he ever fully recovered mentally from that loss
Good point about the psychology, Chef. See this is what irritates me about the guy. I see talent there. I know he can be so much better. But because he is too stubborn to listen and his corner is so inept at getting him to do it, he will be a journeyman for the remainder of his career. So many guys out there do try hard, do listen and do train properly. They just don't have the God given talents. Sam Peter does and he's pissing them away. Sad but a synopsis of the heavyweights, barring the Klitschkos and maybe Povetkin.
trust me.... I am in team klitschko (wlad) we know how other teams are. Vitali team knew that Peters team was in disarray.
Well maybe this will make him change his ways. Wlad changed his ways after the Sanders and williamson fights. Different team, different metal outlook etc. Peter has 2 choices. QUIT or pick himself up and get serious. It is up to him
and you think that they didn't take a tuneup because PEter's team was in disarray? No offence, but that's ******ed. What about the fact that if Vitali had taken a tuneup he would have lost his champion Emeritus status with the WBC. You don't think that was the real reason he didn't take a tuneup?
Vitali was impressive. He did a good job on Peter.Marvelous entrance, masterful performance and ''he likes za belt''
