Wasn't the Kirkland vs Angulo winner suppose to be the WBC#1 mandatory challenger for the Canelo fight. Canelo just fought Cintron, so he can't say he gets more than one stay busy fight? How long can Canelo go before he has to fight his mandatory or get stripped of the title? I think he has to fight the Molina/Kirkland winnner.:bbb
Well Shiiiit isn't Vanes Martirosyian(sp?) or whoever the 154 Silver champ? I thought that was their interim champ but now it looks like it's just it's own thing. It's like the old wwf where you had the WWF Champion and the Intercontinental. 2 different opponent paths. If Chavez Jr can go this damn long without fighting his mandatory, I have no doubt the WBC will let Canelo go even longer without fighting his mando.
And he'll have to defend against Kirkland-KIRKLAND SHOULD TRY TO KEEP WINNING THOUGH- His glass jaw is easily breakable and at this point, he'd be knocked inside of 4 rounds.
simple. GBP is giving Kirkland all the tuff opponents while Canelo fights old men and cab drivers. theyre hoping that Kirkland loses before getting a shot so they dont have to face him. hopefully Kirkland keeps winning so he can back that paper champ into a corner
Or more realistically, they are putting Kirk in with tough guys so whoever loses is a viable opponent, but coming off a loss. Similar to what Top Rank did with Manny.
The WBC is a joke. Nobody should give them any credibility. In order to hold their belt all you need to be is Mexican and breathing.
WBC 154 seems a mess appears that Kirkland and Vanes have both earned shots but neither appear to be getting the shot soon
