Hearn signing Callum French from GB I have heard. These are good, solid signings for Sky, they are building a good stable.
No he'll stay on PPV on sky. I mean the long term marathon game. Does Eddie have the pull power he thinks to convince the next batch of prospects to sign with him without sky. I'm sure he's not arsed about losing Josh Kelly and the likes.
Harlem Eubank is one to watch. I was really impressed with his win over Egbunike, he fought the perfect fight against a very solid domestic fighter. I think he is one of the most overlooked British fighters probably because of his surname and people don’t realise he is a far more naturally gifted boxer than Chris Jr. At 27 he needs to step up now to Euro level if he’s going to achieve anything noteworthy in the sport. I think Harlem is with Adam Booth and interesting to see another of his fighters in Josh Kelly signing for Wasserman too. Perhaps Conlan down the line?
I'm not sure Wasserman Boxing is a step forward for Josh Kelly because he might now go back to fighting lesser opponents who he'll comfortably beat whilst avoiding anyone fighting under Hearn's stable.
He never fought anyone in the Matchroom stable anyway. Avanesyan only got signed after the Kelly fight. I think the move will be good for him. Get some decent rebuilding fights, go under the radar a little and build back up. Only just turned 27, plenty of time and potential. Matchroom hyped him up far too much too early which leads to people wanting him fast tracked. Let him properly learn and develop.
Interesting that Kelly says Hearn offered 5 fights and so did Wasserman, he chose Wasserman to stay on Sky.
Thing is, Sky / Wasserman clearly have the money to sign anyone disgruntled with their current promoter - you will see a lot jump ship from Warren and Hearn.
