Frankey has always been close to the WBO. Plus, Bat was saying not long ago that Kessler's finger could be an issue for April 14th. Purse bid for Stieg vs Georgey ordered for 12 Mar 2012.

Could be a clever move from Sauerland, with Kessler they have the chance to fight for the IBF (Bute) and WBC/WBA (Ward rematch) and Abraham gets an easier shot at the WBO after Stieglitz beats Groves.

Abraham is a underdog against Kessler, but against Stieglits its maybe a 50/50 fight and so they try to collect more than one belt in the SMW.

    Maybe..

at the WBO site, in the Upcoming Fights section, Kessler-Stieglitz isn't even listed; i think Frank just screwed Sauerland.

If there would've been a clever move by Sauerland, they would have made WBO name directly Abraham as mando. Kessler didn't want to hear about Bute and won't get Goossen to bring his Golden Egg to Denmark; most probably Ward will give Kessler a rematch in a big arena in US.

But I think they give Abraham min. 1-2 tune up fights, then he gets fis final and very last shot for a Belt, Stieglitz makes a defens against Groves and everything goes his way.

Kessler is hot for a revenge with ward, think he would take it instead of the WBO shot, we will hear more th enext days.. i hope.

All good, another great possible opponent now more willing for Bute after Froch.

Groves as inexperienced as it is would be Stieglitz best Challenger and he would have a decent chance of beating him. Why risk that ?

I'm not sure I understand your post TBH. Are you saying Groves will beat Stieglitz and take on Bute without milking the belt in the UK first? Or are you saying Stieglitz will still have the WBO belt after the fight and will be willing to fight Bute despite the fact he's declined that fight twice already?

No I thought Kessler-Stieglitz was canceled and they have Stieglitz v Groves instead. Thought Kessler was out of the WBO race and would get in line for the IBF.

Didn't Sauerland want Steiglitz to fight Abraham instead of Kessler and they were trying to have Kessler take a different fight?
