Zab Judah and David Reed. Reeds best days were beat out of him by Tito but, his corner should have never let him get beat on like that. He should have never been in the ring with Tito to begin with. What trainer puts their guy in with Tito with only 13 pro fights? Zab wasted too much time with his pops! Should have cut him loose after the Tszyu fight. I think his dad really hampered Zabs growth as a fighter.

Perhaps not a massive waste of talent in the grand scheme of things (hardly a Valero or Toney) but Kevin Mitchell comes to mind.

Broner. He could have been a hell of a fighter if he cut weight and made the transition into 140 instead of going up to 147, and basically losing his **** after Maidana took his soul.

Yep Mitchell was probably the best lightweight out of Crolla, Burns, Murray, Gavin Rees and Derry Matthews. He joined Matchroom to get fights with Crolla et al but never got matched as such. He also lost on the big occasions.

What great scraps the Murray and Linares fights were though. Two others who also wasted talent from UK are Audley Harrison and Frankie Gavin. Felt they were entitled to more than they were and became lazy instead of working harder to achieve their potential

Gamboa at featherweight could have dominated the division for a few years until Loma came along.
