Foreman would maul. Get right in, and whale away with his big-ass sausage fingered hands until the opponent was beaten right out. He was one of a kind. Dont imitate him, or you'll get mercy-stopped off of counters to the head. You dont hit Foreman hard, and you arent Foreman strong, and you're neither of those things, you dont fight Foreman style.
Dont mean to pick at you dude, but how many welters that fight competitively do you know? Anyway, that's kinda beside the point. The thing is this; in the amateurs, fighting isnt about who can crush the other. More often than not, that doesn't happen anyway. Amateur boxing is all about scoring points, like fencing. If you leave yourself wide open like Foreman did, you'll lose badly, and look like a newb. Learn some actual skills. Learn to bring the jab back. Learn a simple one-two. Learn good footwork. Foreman was a freak of nature. Odds are you aren't that. If you were, we'd most likely already be hearing about you.
It's Foreman.. and if you're anything the specimen he was, you wouldn't be here posting about your strengths.
