Watch Bill Gallo & Merchant talks about P4P. Describes SRR just like Pac!!!

This was made before SRL & Hearns entered the P4P debates. Bill describes SRR then as Like the today's Pac. No wonder He has Pac as the top 3 P4p of all time. He knows what he's talking about!!

6:08 On SRR, what makes him the best P4P.

His Boxing ability, the ability to take a punch, ability to throw the punch, to land a punch, his punching power, and this guy has all of that, putting it all together he was perfection in all that areas.

    --Bill Gallo

It's just like how Mechant, Bill Gallo & Max Kellerman discribes Pacquiao of today!!

    watch 7:52 on SRR:

If you think of a fighter today who was beating everybody at 147 lbs and go on and beating everybody at 160 lbs and became a Middleweight champion, tells what an extraordinary athete he was. --Larry Merchant 1976

Now lets make one for Pac for 2010:

"If you think of fighter who was a lineal Flyweight Champ at age 19, Then beat everybody from 122- 154 lbs and became a record Breaking 8th weight title Holder in 8 different weight class. Then make a HOF class fighter like Floyd to duck & retire in fear, Then we might be talking about Pacquiao as Maybe the Greatest fighter that ever lived!!" --Larry Merchant 2010

Here are some helpful hints for *****s:

"Bill Gallo and Larry Merchant don't know **** about boxing!"

"Bill Gallo and Larry Merchant have Alzheimers"

"You can do anything with the right PEDs"

"Pac is an 8 weight catchweight champ"

"You cannot be an ATG witthout beating a slick African American boxer first" (does scaring one into an extended vacation count?)

"So now we have a gym full of great lightweights - we'll just stick with this division for now - to compare with Pacquiao. Take these:

Is he as good or better than: Tony Canzoneri? My opinion - better. Barney Ross? Better. Roberto Duran? As good or even better.

What about Henry Armstrong, who held three titles at the same time? Wasn't he in the same class in throwing punches in multitudes? Didn't Armstrong fight somewhat like Pacquiao?

My answer: No. They are different fighters. While Armstrong would bury his head into his opponent's chest, firing lefts and rights to the body and head, Pacquiao is a thinking, deliberate puncher who rarely misses. I see Pac as the better fighter.

I'm going to wind this up by asking myself this question: Okay, Mr. Boxing Man, are you telling me this Philippine Dynamo is the best you have ever seen?

Yes, in a very long time. And he might just be the man who will eventually put boxing back in the upper deck of sports."

Gallo is a good guy in boxing but he's not the most credible man to pull from. Lets just say he wouldn't be making any P4P lists among writers or historians.

So the Boxing Writers Association of America ignored the fact that Bill Gallo was not a credible writer or historian (even though the guy was born in 1922 and was first hand witness to many boxing greats) and elected him their president anyway? :think

I have to agree with Bill Gallo, there. Somebody in the consensus ATG top-10 has to make way for Pacquiao.
