You can't seriously watch Shane-Margo and point out any physical tool that Shane has lost over the years. Shane trains like a mad animal, he's always in shape, the way some guys are gonna paint it is as if he were James Toney or something , but no the guy hasn't lost a bit of power, hasn't lost much speed and the legs are still healthy. I mean you can bring up the Mayorga fight where he did get tagged a bit, but more apparent than anything in that fight was his chin and punch resistance and sheer punching power- and he goes on to look 10x better against the liver, more dangerous Antonio Margarito.

Shane = much bigger, much stronger, a notch behind in speed, and 10x more active

thats a fight people, no matter what you've got to say about it. Shane had opportunities to fight Floyd in the past but he chose Oscar and a pointless Feroz rematch instead so you really cant blame all of it on Floyd. That being said the fight is as big now as it possibly could've been

I did watch that fight and what I can tell you is that it wasnt the same Mayorga this was a Mayorga who actually respected the man in front of him and boxed a bit.

That off set Shane who was obviously expecting the joker who would rush in wild with shots while also allowing the other man to hit him with his hands down.

Bottom line sure it wasnt the performance it should have been but he still won by knock out.
Anybody who thinks this is an easy fight for Floyd, they just dont know boxing, Floyd struggled with a well aged Oscar in reality he didnt do **** to take Oscars title but some how managed to get a gift from the judges, Shane is in this fight, and is in fighting shape as we speak Floyd agreeing to fight has only and will only elevate Shanes game he is not only in fighting shape now, but was also given enough time to prepair for Floyds style while getting in even better shape

shane hasn't looked good since 2001
he is 38, he has slowed down, the only thing he has
lost is speed, he still has good power and a great chin....

but he hasn't fought and BEAT anyone of noteworthy (excluding margarito)
    for the past 9-10 years....

collazo was giving him fits before he hurt his hands

i had mayorga winning the fight (and he would have gotten a draw had he won the last round) until he was stopped

hell even a shot over the hill vargas was getting close to evening things up on the scorecards 91st fight) before it was stopped because of swelling to vargas

yea shane looked great in dismantling a lion that had been dismantled before (people forget the paul williams boxing lesson)

but i for one will not be surprised if floyd makes this look easy

I like Shane, but I think this will be a scrap. I hope this fight is not in a giant ring. Two established fighters putting it on the line, lets hope they start a trend huh?

not a easy fight but styles make fights! Thing that works against PBF is that Mosley has not been active since Margarito fight .

Wait a minute, Am I the only one who thinks it's ****ing INSANE to have Mayorga up going into the last round? Mosley outlanded him hugely, and with much cleaner, harder shots. Mayorga may have been winning a wrestling match, but certainly not a boxing match.

it was a pretty close fight no doubt, I think it was Mayorga who had done the better share of boxing leading up to the stoppage. The problem here is Shane gets **** on becuase he didnt look the way Oscar did or Trinidad did when they fought Mayorga.
They also under estemate Mayorgas ability, the man can box, example of this is in the rematch with Vernon Forrest and in the Vargas fight at a much higher weight class than Mayorgas best.
Vargas as we know has the better boxing skills and was still out boxed by Mayorga, Forrest has the better boxing skills and was still out hustled by Mayorga.
So all because Shane stopped him in the last round and was in a close fight suddenly we are supposed to think Shane is ****? I dont think so kids, Shane is a live underdog in this fight, and he does go to the body well and I for one think that Shanes body work is going to be a HUGE advantage for him in dealing with Floyd Mayweather.
I got shane by a huge upset, knock out in the last third of the fight.

Imo this is going to be an easy session for Mayweather.

Boxistically speaking, Mosley is not, and was never in Mayweather's class.

Mosley's inability to fire a hard jab is going to hurt him bigtime vs Mayweather.

Wide points and easy victory for Mayweather.

.....and go take a look at the Mayorga fight to gauge how poor Mayweather's jab is........unless his opponent is attacking him in straight line and being very predictable, Shane's jab is imo one of the worst jabs ever coming from an elite fighter.

Margarito and Mayweather are like cold and hot. Total opposites.

Watch Mosley vs Cotto and you'll see that if you can throw on the move then Mosley can be made to look kind of lost.

Margarito is no indication of anything when it comes to Floyd Mayweather. Mosley was stuck straight up in there air against Margarito. Try and comprehend what will happen to Shane's oversized skull when Mayweather starts unloading. Shane won't allow it entirely, but there will be moments in this fight that resemble Mayweather's performance against Arturo Gatti.
