I think you can make a case for either fighter in nearly every round depending on if you favour slickness and picking your shots verses combos and a high work rate, obviously peoples opinions can differ.......
Brah, every response you clutch at straws. "Set up the loose tape" - Geale got a breather too. There have been a few fights that Choc hasn't come in fit for, Geale wasn't one of them, I have no doubt he overlooked Geale but he was in shape. Clean, fast and hard accurate punching is gonna win the next fight not pitter patter work rate. "The man" will make a statement, he will humble Australia once again. The difference between us is that I get to you because I speak the truth, you mean nothing to me, you're just some creep on the internet. I gave you my honest assessment: you are creepy, weird, not a boxing fan, probably a virgin, have no family, like cats, like heavy metal, look at baby pictures every day. We both know you wouldn't let anyone you know in real life read your posts because you sound like a massive loser. I'm not trying to be witty or intelligent - you are not a well adjusted grown man. Poor assessment. Every time Geale flurried Choc came back with meaningful shots, he hurt Geale at least twice in the fight. Mate Geale is a good fighter and a deserved champion, Mundine did win the first fight and will win the rematch.
How so? Are you denying it was a set up? Everyone knows it was a setup. It's an age old tactic. Sure, but he didn't need it. Big difference. You've just admitted that Mandy can't hang with Geale with regards to fitness, even when he's in his best shape. Good, we agree. It's understandable anyhow, Mandy is 6 years older, and Geales stamina is second to none. Not a chance in hell.
*essay Dear dreary pommy troll/Anglosaxon Wannabe Tryhard, There's a club if you'd like to go, you could meet somebody who really loves you...but you go and you stand on your own ,and you leave on your own, and you go home, and you cry, and you want to die. Choose life brah :yep Yours truly, IrnBruMan :thumbsup
Rewatching the fight now - funny stuff, round 6 just finished and Barry Michaels goes "Whoaaarr, good finish from Geale!!....****en 'ell!!" Anyway, my scores for rounds 1 to 6 as follows: DG - AM 10 - 9 8 - 10 (knockdown) 10 - 9 10 - 9 10 - 9 (could have been 10-10 but Geale landed some nice punches towards the end of the round and Mundine looked uncomfortable) 10 - 9 (first round in which Mundine's glove tape comes loose, ref warns both for headclashes and Geale complains about Mundine using his elbow, ref warns Mundine. Fair enough too, Mundine's been using his left elbow from the start of the fight. Geale's made Mundine feel very uncomfortable from the start of the fight - Mundine's regressing into ducking his head down and turning his back when Geale comes in at him. So rounds 1-6 I've scored it DG 58 Am 55. Interesting that Barry Michael, (who keeps calling 10-10 rounds and reacting whenever Mundine throws a punch but downplaying or ignoring anything Geale does), had a scorecard of AM 48 DG 47 after 5 rounds. Taking away the 10-8 score for round 2, that means he's scored rounds 1 & 3-5 39 - 38 in Geale's favour
I had the same card as you at that point. Barry Michael had orgasms over punches that didn't even land on Geale. The guy is a disgrace and hopefully he isn't commentating during the second fight.
Rounds 7 - 12 DG - AM 10 - 9 ridiculous how many times the tape came loose from both of Mundine's gloves, he should have been warned a point would be stripped next time :-( 9 - 10 Mundine's best round of the fight IMO - he dominated Geale for most of this round and while Geale kept coming back at him, Mundine looked comfortable and in control. That said, the tape on his glove came loose yet again and he should have been stripped a point at this stage. 10 - 9 Should have been 10 - 8 for the knockdown, even Barry Michael said on review after the round it was from a punch and should have been scored a KD. The ref finally gives Mundine an official warning for using his elbow. 10 - 10 Close round indeed, could have been a Geale round but I was happy that both fighters did enough to win it, therefore scored it a draw. 9 - 10 Mundine loooked strong again in this round but the low blow might have helped. The first round Geale showed any signs of discomfort. 9 - 10 Hard round to score, could well have been another draw but Mundine again looked the more composed of the 2. Rounds 7 - 12 totals: DG 57 AM 58
