Thanks to GT for posting this.

It's popping up in numerous threads. So here's your centralized place to explain why this is a 10-9 round, and/or how your score can be taken seriously if you thought this could be 10-9.

I think it was 10-8. For me in order to earn a point back and force a 10 8 to a 10 9 its not just simply winning the rest of the round but you have to do something to earn it back

    10-8.

He actually wobbled him a bit a second time.

    10-8

He dominated that round. Trout was on spagetti for the KD, then Canelo had him wobble later. Canelo was the one in control of the round, moving Trout wherever he wanted him to.

10-8 Always. The only reason I would do it a 9-9 round would be if Canelo looked like Bute in the 4th.

Agree with the first part. Really, it's just an objective fact that he wobbled him again, so that's that. I do think Trout had his moments, but nowhere near "dominating the round" as some have said.

Glad to see agreement, but I really want to see someone who thinks this is ever a 10-9 round explain why, referencing the footage.

  8. 10-8

still scored it 115-112 to trout

I agree, would love to see the logic behind someone's 10-9 scoring. It was an obvious 10-8 in my opinion.

I was saying 10-9 last night, when emotions were high, after rewatching it, its a 10-8.

THat changes my scorecard from a 114-114, to a 114-113 for Alvarez.

I agree that if a fighter dominates a round but gets knocked down, it should be a 10-9 but Trout didn't dominate the round at all. It's a clear 10-8 to Canelo.

    1 point = round

    1 point = knockdown

If you felt Trout won the round then its 10-9

If you felt Canelo won the round its 10-8

    hardly's rocket science.
