Yep, Bean was robbed and Chambers is a better boxer than Bean. But it was the style of Bean that created those problems for Dimitrenko. Bean did a very good job (very boring to watch though) when he made it an infight with very much clinching. He ducked under Dimi´s jab, jumped on him, connected a few hands and the he clinched and waited for the referee to break the clinch. Dimi found no answer for this style. Against Chambers you could not expect a similar scenario though. Eddie is waiting for his opponent to come to him. Now tell me, what will he do, when a 6´7 tall heavyweight will pump out his jab from time to time ?
Here are my thoughts: -Dimitrenko got outboxed by the shot to pieces Krasniqui prior to landing that liver shot. I gotta admit that that liver-shot was text-book, and I was surprised that Dimitrenko could do that. -Derrick Rossy is C-level. -All in all, Dimitrenko has never impressed me, I think he's overrated and he'll get exposed sooner or later, at the latest when he faces either Klitschko. But Eddie Chambers might not be the man to expose him, especially not in Germany. Chambers is skilled, but he isn't the most busy fighter, nor is he a big puncher. -Dimitrenko struggled every single time he stepped up. Vaughn Bean, Timo Hofmann, etc... That's why he remains a prospect at 29-0. He's got a great trainer but doesn't really progress, he's limited.
Chambers gets too enamored with pumping out the jab and not doing much else. Against a guy has a 6 inch reach advantage and who can also throw a jab (or at least paws a jab), that means trouble unless Chambers actually uses his right hand once in a while. Further, he doesn't have the power to knock out Dimitrenko, and the fight is in Germany. He just doesn't have the tools to win rounds dominantly, as would be needed for him to win a decision in Germany. Can't say I give Chambers much of a chance in this one. People who are using the Krasniqi fight as a blueprint aren't looking at the way Chambers actually fights. Krasniqi was landing by jumping in and landing overhand rights. I'm not sure I've EVER seen Chambers lead with an overhand right. The fact of the matter is that Chambers is only comfortable boxing on the outside, working off his jab. That might work against slow fat guys and midgets, but that's not how a flat-footed 6'2" heavyweight is going to beat someone who's 6'8" and moves his feet. As for why he'd take it? The winner of this fight will be ranked #1 or #2 for all 4 belts.
Well, saying he is or isn't a **** trainer to farmy is about as useful as dragging your **** across the carpet. :nut
Skills son, you cannot teach pure boxing ability. Great post.:good And Krasniqi was fast and game in this fight, unlike the debacle against Thompson. He used every bit of footspeed and reach to land punches, something Chambers can't do. Chambers can look good and counter fighters who are 6'1 - 6'2, like Povetkin and Peter. He is not the type of fighter to move inside with a giant.
He wasn't good for Wlad, but he did reinvent Dariusz Michalczewski, transformed him from unpolished puncher to a fighter who could outbox Virgil Hill. Sdunek also led Ralf Roccigiani out of the gutter in an unlikely comeback to beat Carl Thompson. Ralf was a chainsmoking borderline alcoholic, I hung out in his pub in Berlin a few times, it was sad to see. Somehow Sdunek got him in better shape and fighting spirit than ever before.
your thread might have been intelligent (as you self-proclaimed) but you've pulled it down all on your own by not being big enough to rise above the bull****.
Sdunek did not help Wlad at all, nor did he know his prized pupil well enough when he fought Purrity. If Sdunek was on point, he tells Wlad to stop going for the Ko, and teaches him how to clinch. As it was Sdunek's stood there and let his man punch himself out. I do believe a better corner man / coach could have prevented this upset. Regarding the Sanders fight, Sdunek's advise between rounds was horrible. There was no water to wake Wlad up either. In fact Sdunek wasn't even familiar with enswell or how to manage swelling until recently. I think Dimitenko is a lot better than people thing. He is a mobile big man. While he does not have Wlad's power, he moves better, and can in-fight some, plus has developed a good body attack. If Dimtrenko defeats CHambers and looks better than Povetkin who narrowly defeated Chambers, I think he has a chance to be the man after the Klitschko's retire.
Wlad could retire tomorrow, never work another day in his life & still be a multi-millionaire. He's an ATG Heavyweight whether you approve or not. Hurt's doesn't it? :yep
