Something I just noticed was that Billy Graham tells him to forget about defence in the corner at the end of the 9th round. 1 minute later the fight is waved off after, Hatton has been knocked down twice. atsch

 

I like how Ricky gets knocked down right after his fans finish the one hatton song

Yup, very bad advice from Graham telling him to forget about defense. He needed to move his head more coming in. Instead, he was caught perfect and never saw it coming.

 

No.... he said.. "Don't go crazy and forget about defense"

It is one sentence and no pause....

 

What I noticed was that at 2:40 or so of the video Floyd catches Hatton with the same exact punch in the same spot in the ring as the knockdown. Not only that but Hatton almost goes careening into the ring post. The knockout punch was basically a replay, but Hatton was out of it at that point.

Floyd got really close to finishing him there, especially when he landed a huge right a few seconds later. Hatton has a good chin, but nobody can stand up to that many head snapping punches.

 

Hatton had NO defence for the the straight rights.

 

I didn't notice last night that just as Cortez is grabbing PBF to stop the fight Graham had thrown the towel!!!

 

the str8 right in the 8th was fukkin brutal!

yes floyd caught him same punch in rd 8. then actually backs himself into same corner knowing ricky would chase him hard into corner. brilliant trap set by floyd. cheers to ricky valiant throughout. floyd to quick,strong and crafty for the manchester lad
