The funny thing is, I was thought he must have been getting their names mixed up during some of the exchanges because he was saying the Russian was getting the better of them when I thought it was the Uzbek who was.
he is top notch ,shame he is not going to the olympics he ko'ed Nigel Paul who has already qualified for the olympics in 1 round he also ko'ed erik pheifer who is an olympic bronze medalist and going to the next olympics
ya i taught the uzbek won it, he showed amazing talent but his hands down style away from home isnt smart as it can often lead to bad decisions
FFS I missed it. Bektimir and his fellow Uzbek team are just non-stop aggressors and they aren't illusive enough. This is one big problem I had with them in the World Amateur Championships.
He's like a 165lb bumble bee the way he buzzes around his opponent. One second he's in front of you, the next he's round your side. He does leave himself wide open a lot of the time and gets caught with silly shots. He's still only a baba though
Boy, you weren't kidding. That was about as complete a performance in the ring I've seen in a while. He just broke that guy down over four rounds and stopped him in the last. That was very impressive. I've never seen him before. That right uppercut is a killer. Damn.:deal
ya and that ukrainian looked tough too and could fight, shame he isnt going to the olympics i think he has great skill and style and your right that upper cut was unreal, you dont see many big men fighting like that
I agree. That Ukrainian kid was very good, too. In the third, I thought he was going to come back. But he just got shut down. I don't know who is going to the Olympics in Clarke's place. But Clarke is damn good. He's a finished product. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to follow him from now on.:good
