Dude, just watching him gave me chills!!!! :scaredas:

This was humiliating. Just to think that these were semifinals.... these guy wasn't in Kostya's universe when it came to skill, speed, power, ring intelligence.

    Wow.
If there was ever a perfect display of what boxing looks like.. Tszyu belongs there,. WHAT A PACKAGE!!

Funny how respected by the whole boxing community every talked what a great fighter he is but no one wanted to actually fight him.

Gatti barked when Gatti was something, Floyd barked and barked and barked but in reality found a way to never meet him.

I won't praise his pro career even though he is ATG at 140 non-theless but he had one hell of a talent that unfortunately wasn't fulfilled due to him not being American and just plain unlucky with injuries.

And btw.. Mitchell was number one contender for years and years

Forrest was only young, maybe just 19, but Tszyu made him look second rate, even with the height difference.

Exactly. Tszyu was catching **** for NOT fighting Mitchell and many people on this board expected Mitchell to win when they met for their 2nd fight. Mitchell was coming off of a string of wins over respectable 140 pound contenders and Tszyu was coming off of a long layoff. Countless people attributed Tszyu's first win over Mitchell to Mitchell's injury and completely wrote KT off for the rematch.

It's funny how that's turned into "no one wanted to see him fight Mitchell"

lol......no one wanted to see them fight even once? The first fight was a unification fight that ended in ordinary circumstances, so the 2nd fight was very legit. Hence, BOTH fights creating interest.:deal

Beautiful technician. I remember reading somewhere that his Russian coach said that his talent was a gift from God.

However, I remember a poster from the old Secondsout forum saying something to the effect that there was another Russian boxer who was so good that Kostya was forced to move up weight to stay on the team. I don't remember his name but he fought pretty much exclusively in Japan so there wasn't much of a buzz when he turned pro.
