The 2nd video on the right hand side of the web page has a little interview with Floyd. About half way through the video Floyd talks about fighting Miguel Cotto. And although I think a little BS came out of Floyd's mouth a little truth came out too and it actually makes me optimistic because this fight will come off.

I just saw the vid so I don't know how long this vid has been out. Check it out:deal

I know the fight will come off , once Arum and Floyd Straight there **** out its on .. but I feel Arum is only interested in Arum business, the sooner these guys can settle there **** the sooner the fight will take place...

Floyd know that Cotto the only true potential major money fight for him at 147..

The Cotto/Mayweather situation kind of reminds me of the Mayweather/DLH situation. For years Floyd wanted to fight Hoya. However, he didn't have the name recognition and he was with Arum; who didn't get along with Hoya at the time. Eventually, Floyd built up his name, left Arum, and the fight came off.

I think Cotto has done a good job of building up his name. However, it will be hard for him to ever be a household name. I think fighting Floyd is only way for him to truly break through as a superstar in this sport. I think Cotto's skills and accomplishments are good enough for him to be a star. However, it's up to a guy like Floyd to give him the opportunity to really shine on the biggest stage, similar to the way Hoya gave Floyd an opportunity to really shine by agreeing to fight him.

It very well may get to a point where team Cotto breaks away from Arum in order to get this fight made.

yeah, Floyd knows the potential that Cotto would be and he knows everyone wants to see it. They are just trying to build this fight up to an absolute limit before signing the contracts.

The BS between Arum and Floyd is real. Yet the money to make and the respect to gain? Is far more.

All PBf does is make excuses to fight re-runs and hope Cotto loses.
Cotto IS A NAME already and did higher numbers than Floyd pre DLH:good

There's no proof of this. Arum claims the fight with Mosley did around 400k. However, no official numbers have been released. I've seen figures for this fight as low as 340k. Furthermore, Mosley is a bigger name than anyone Floyd fought pre DLH. Both Cotto and Mayweather fought Judah on PPV. Zab's fight with Mayweather did much better than Cotto's fight with Zab.

You have no proof its 340 either which even if true would only be about 30 less than Floyd 2 fights ago.

Its a pointless line of attack, Cotto has the better resume as a fighter at 147 and thats FACT. He's earned his shot and thats undeniable:good

I never said I did have any proof. My only point was that their were no official numbers release. We're basically relying on Arum's word

That's clearly an opinion. Furthermore, I never said that didn't earn his shot.

The bigger point is................props to Judah and Mosley and even Malinaggi for fighting Cotto w/out a bunch of excuses and BS, that's what fighters do.

All of those guys needed Cotto. Floyd doesn't need Cotto, Cotto needs Floyd.

Shane Mosley did not need Cotto, lets get real.

    Cotto does not need Floyd.

Floyd is delusional, he did 3.5 mil ppv buys w/DLH and Hatton, and while you can say "It takes two" blah blah blah, Hoya has always done serious ppv #'s and Hatton just sold 50,000 tickets in the UK fighting a nobody and the majority of ppv #'s came from the UK for Floyd/Hatton. Floyd made no one.
