    Really??
Tarver,Wright,De La Hoya,Pavlik, Heck if you're going to include Bika,I may as well include Eastman,Holmes,Joppy,Pascal, prime Glen Johnson. Even a blown up Trinidad is better than that Bika win.

Not sure why people discount B-Hops victories over Trinidad and Oscar. Sure oscar got a gift decision prior to their fight... but discounting B-Hops wins on the basis that these guys were their best at WW, is poor. Hagler, while beat real good fighters at MW, his greatness came through his battles with Duran, Hearns, and SRL, thy were the fab four. Why are boxing fans so ignorant now? Many times in the history of boxing, fighters have moved up in weight to challenge the champ, why is it a thing we negate now? If they are past prime, yes that takes away from the victory, but beating a Prime Trinidad at the time when he seemed unstoppable and so powerful, especially in the way B-Hop did it, was absolutely amazing. Hagler would approve.

Calzaghe slapping around bums while challenging real fighters to come fight for his meanignless unrecognized WBO belt on his own front lawn was a running joke for years and years. Froch has done more in two or three years than Slappy did in a decade.

Isn't it funny how all those Euros who spent the 90's and early 00's defending worthless WBO belts in their backyards were mysteriously "ducked" by everyone who was actually relevant? :rofl

But hey at least he beat a 400 year old Roy Jones. By decision. After getting up off the floor to do it. A couple months before some Aussie nobody ever heard of would do it in one round. That's some legacy Slappy has there.

A shame how Calzaghe couldn't KO that shot to pieces Jones. Anything less than a KO of Jones at that point is an EVT loss.

    this article says it all:
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/9164514.stm

"My mum, who was always too afraid to watch me fight, would be annoyed if I went back in the ring but I'm more concerned about my youngest son Connor.
"He came into my dressing room before the Roy Jones fight crying his heart out because he saw me get knocked down against Bernard Hopkins a couple of months earlier.
"He had also spent the Jones build-up watching footage of Jones' glory years, when he was at his peak, on You Tube.
"Connor was sobbing 'dad, he is amazing' and I tried to reassure him 'don't worry son, Jones isn't that good anymore.'
"So while I was supposed to be psyching myself up for a huge fight on the pads and getting into my 'zone,' I had to give my little boy a hug to stop him crying.
"Then in the first round, Jones knocked me down which didn't help - Connor couldn't watch it. I can't put him through that again.

Calzaghe is good enough to go the distance with prime RJJ. Tall southpaws are always tough for a natural left hooker like RJJ. Combine that with Joe's grit, chin and will, and Joe will always be a difficult opponent for any 168lber.

[ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_t9RQBdlHY[/ame] (The English translation to Sonne)

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, out

Everyone is waiting for the light
    be afraid, don't be afraid
the sun is shining out of my eyes
    it will not set tonight
and the world counts loudly to ten

    One
    Here comes the sun
    Two
    Here comes the sun
    Three
It is the brightest star of all
    Four
    Here comes the sun

The sun is shining out of my hands
it can burn, it can blind you all
when it breaks out of the fists
it lays down hotly on the face
    it will not set tonight
and the world counts loudly to ten

    One
    Here comes the sun
    Two
    Here comes the sun
    Three
It is the brightest star of all
    Four
    Here comes the sun
    Five
    Here comes the sun
    Six
    Here comes the sun
    Seven
It is the brightest star of all
    Eight, nine
    Here comes the sun

The sun is shining out of my hands
it can burn, it can blind you
when it breaks out of the fists
it lays down hotly on your face
it lays down painfully on your chest
    balance is lost
it lets you go hard to the floor
and the world counts loudly to ten

    One
    Here comes the sun
    Two
    Here comes the sun
    Three
It is the brightest star of all
    Four
And it will never fall from the sky
    Five
    Here comes the sun
    Six
    Here comes the sun
    Seven
It is the brightest star of all
    Eight, nine
    Here comes the sun

Calzaghe wasn't even a real World champion for most of his career, just a belt holder. His WBO run means **** all. If Calzaghe's WBO defences are something special and made him number 1 in the division then the same applies to Artur Grigorian.
