Holy and B-Hops are STILL the best looking 45+ year old athletes I have ever seen from a physical stand point. Neither dude has any fat on them.. IMPRESSIVE! Of course Holy has more wear and tear due to his numerous brawls and stern competition stemming from day one, so I'm not surprised he no longer can fight an elite contender or champion like B-Hops apparently still can...

I honestly thought Holy pussed out last night against Sherman Williams. So Holy got butted and then cut by a fierce right hand from Williams, that was no reason to quit after three rds just as the heat was coming on.. WTF? Holy took an exit route in my opinion...

Yes, Holy is age 48 and in denial, but still fit to fight at 224 solid pounds. But his desire to absorb punches and take pain has fallen. I gotta question Holy's heart and soul now based on his quitting against Sherman Williams... WEAK!

Holyfield looked real old in the ring walk. Looks weirdly depressed like "This is what my career has come to." Just dejected... it's sad.

Didn't look terrible in the second round. Not a good ending I guess.

    Not a good round 3...

Look for Holy to bypass a rematch with Williams and opt for that fight in Denmark with Brian Nielsen. Nielsen is a tub of goo who can still sell tix in Denmark plus, he's made-to-order for even a shot Holy...

Holyfield is over, done with and irrelevant at this point of his prolonged career.
Beïng in trouble against a (strong) journeyman like Williams, and then quitting "Nate Campbell style", just shows how far he's gone.
"Tank" got outpointed easy by (then 12-0) up and comer Charr, who's not even on "Chisora level" today.

Holyfield should hang 'm up, like everybody here thinks.
But as long as he needs the money and alphabets like the WBA and WBF excist, he will look for a another (and another, and another) big payday.
Or until he doesn't get licenced anymore because of serious (danger for) health issue's.

You know, for a dude (Holy) who is supposedly broke, the pre-fight sketch of Evander Holyfield displayed him as still living in style. Perhaps not like a King from yrs ago, but he still seems to be living like a Prince... He appears to be cozy at age 48, etc....

I said on another thread it was 'depressing', but I stand corrected - the most depressing thing, refreshingly largely absent here, is seeing some of the real die-hard Holyfield supporters trying to wave away the loss and maintain he can still kick ass and take names.

Holyfield apparently only shipping right hands due to the headbutt, as evidenced by him managing to avoid the right hands before that point. Yes, those three or four right hands avoided for about a round and a half, most impressive. Or asserting that Holy will just need to throw a lot more jabs and move around, as if he's still capable of that workrate again. Or gifting Williams with suddenly quick head movement and crafty punches.

Strong echoes of the Tyson fans by the end. Very understandable, when you're a true fan it's so hard to accept, but still depressing and sad.

You haven't seen too many older athletes. Dave Scott was 45 when he placed fifth in the Hawaii Ironman. Holy is muscular and lean but looks horrible when he moves.

Yeah, but that's weight lifting... Hell, I remember Louis Ferrigno placing second place in the 1992 or 1993 Mr. Olympia contest... Lou was in his early 40s and a buffed 313 pounds of muscle... Personally, I thought he should've won...
    :deal
Still, I'm talking about athletes who are subjected to physical abuse, etc... Very few dude's can do what Holy and B-Hops are doing at their age...
    :bbb
I'm not interested in some golfer or race car driver....:-(

indeed, but there's a real catch in that!
His extremely expensive house is a money pit, and it's very hard to sell.
If he can get rid of it his biggest problems are gone, he then only has to take care of his 4345 kids' alimony.
