    Please do that.

I have to tell you though it was time consuming because I had to keep going over every exchange to ensure I did not miss anything.

I eventually did watch it again and took a couple of notes.

    - Round 2. Originally gave to Dirrell, but this one seems very evenly split on cards I've seen. You convinced me to re-view and the countering I'd noted Dirrell did wasn't there. I think Dirrell landed the harder punches, but Froch did "force the round" and land more often. Toss up round I can easily see going to Froch for forcing the action and landing more (if weak) jabs.

    - Round 3. I just didn't see Froch land anything useful beyond the 1 shot that chased Dirrell accross the ring. I think Dirrell landed both harder and more here.

    - Round 7 Don't disagree with anything you wrote, but I gave it to Froch, crediting him for shots landed while Dirrell was trying to hold or holding.

    - Round 10, Froch landed some, but Dirrell landed better. If Dirrell loses rounds based on "not playing a pro game", I think he wins this one based on the same. (9-9 with deduction, of course). I don't disagree with anything you wrote, but I'm going with "when in doubt, go with the hardest shots" and I think Dirrell had the 2 best ones.

    - Round 11, as mentioned by previous poster, pretty clear Dirrell round IMO

Thanks for a solid write up. Actually convinced me to look at a couple rounds again (which I had sworn I wouldn't do). I'm with you, though, I'm beginning to find this fight more interesting than boring (which I sure as hell didn't think would be the case after the 1st time I saw it). Scoring it is some weird, unanswerable chicken/egg question.

I have no problems with people opinion but i got a huge problem when some people score a round that was for the wrong fighter. I still think Dirrell won the 2nd round clearly. But this new guy kidd no offense to him should never score another fight again. Is he serious? Froch won the 11th round????????????????????? <<<<That shows that you got some stupid newbies that can't score the fight correctly. And wtf round 10 a 10-8 round for Froch????? My goodness.

I know that but Froch didn't won that round to make it a 10-8. It should a an even round.

Im pretty sure that Froch lost round 10 therefor it should have been scored 9-9.

Bottomline is you can watch the fight 100 times and you arent going to change who you thought won the fight in the first place. Going back and scoring a fight that you have already seen is one of the most pointless things EVER. Unless you are totally unbiased which very few of us here are.

Bottomline is about 75% of the people outside of the UK felt that Dirrell won the fight end of story. Keep in mind that 20% of the people polled felt like Tito was ahead of Hopkins before getting knocked out some years ago.

    WOW...You gave Round 10 to Froch...THATS HILARIOUS!!!

And also, what I find RIDICULOUS that "so-called" fight fans do is:

If there are close rounds...that are DEAD EVEN...No-one seperates themself as the CLEAR WINNER of a round...then why should a CHAMP GET THE ROUND...ITS PUNISHING A FIGHTER BECAUSE HE DOESN'T HAVE A BELT!!! BULLSH!T.

Just call it an even round.

Question: What if both fighters didn't have a Title and they were fighting in a neutral site...In a close round...WHO GETS THE ROUND???

On all my scoredcards...Throughout the years of watching Boxing...IF ITS A CLOSE ROUND AND NO FIGHTER SEPERATES THEM SELF AS THE CLEAR WINNER OF THE ROUND...I CALL IT AN EVEN ROUND!!!!

All i hear is a bunch of garbage how "drywall" won. He was running like a coward all night. Cant win that way. I watched the whole fight live, and it was a close decision by froch no doubt. Yes drywall won round 11, 12 i think, but it was earlier rounds that froch won more rounds. So no robbery, but if drywall wants to win, a champs heart needs to take more risks.

I give it to the guy that doesn't fall to the ground to avoid punches or cling on for dear life even after being warned.

Yeah, I have it as a Dirrell round, it just sounded like you were incredulous at "10-8" moreso than a Froch round.

I could see it as a Froch round if you went the "more" over "better" route but that doesn't make sense for those arguing that you have to "fight a pro game to get the win" - Dirrell had the best shots of the round and Froch's greater activity were light taps bar for 1 decent shot.

Darryl - guy, ease off the CAPS and the !!'s. Yer gonna have an aneurism. AND... look at all 3 judges scorecards... see any even rounds? I don't believe in the "champ gets the benefit of the doubt" either, but don't give people **** about not using even rounds... pro judges don't. And what do you think will separate the 2 in this fight? Yeah, the guy coming forward.

In other words, you didn't score it and went on general impression. Not sure "general impression" is a scoring criterion.

I though the fight was lame. But the aggressor was froch, he caught direll few times in early rounds and direll was complaining to the refs continiously and holding quite a bit. If direll fought like rounds 11-12, who knows he might have won, or might have gotten KO'd. Everyone has their opinions, its just that the judges actually favor aggression over defense. :happy

Dirrell caught Froch more then Froch did in those early rounds you just mention but of course you won't agree cause you say Dirrell run all night right? Funny that two judges from europe got the same score 115-112 for Froch. <<<What a shocker.

Froch landed more punches on Dirrell. Hell, Dirrell was too busy complaining, falling on canvas, running, holding!

Robbery?! Hell no! Called a robbery by biased fans of Dirrell. I refuse to give any points for holding, running, falling down on canvas and complaining. Dirrell fans think that is boxing?! Yeah, but if it were Froch who did such they would not. I am tired of all the lies by the biased. I saw the fight and Froch won fair and square. OK, should Dirrell practice falling down on canvas for his next fight? Running, complaining and holding? I guess Dirrell's fans will tell him to do such. Boxing, no, holding, running, complaining, and falling down on canvas, yes, that is how you win a fight!
