That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I think it could be interesting. Even judah kd' floyd with the right hook as he was coming in.

Got to give it to Pacquiao. Even if he knows he might lose the fight, he'll go through with it. It's quite different for Mayweather with his undefeated record. I could understand why it's too difficult to risk even if he is 'slightly/largely' favored.

Sorry, all this thread did for me is get me excited and then I realize that it's prob'ly never going to happen.

    sigh

If Cotto can't hurt Manny, how will Floyd every hurt Manny? Manny will just haunt him all night.

If I had to put money on it, it would go on Floyd, but there's a reason Pac keeps winning. He brings speed, power, heart and stamina along with solid game-plans and a work-rate to give ANYONE fits. I think Pac would push Mayweather hard and either beat him or bring out the best in him.
What I would be frustrated with 'as a Floyd fan' would be that he refuses to take this match you see as easy.
I don't believe Floyd is scared, but I do believe he's lazy. This match has made a lie of his previous excuses for not taking on the best challenges due to them not bringing the $. It's by far the best pay day he can get, but why risk a hard fight for $40 mil when he can spar with midgets and B-level fighters for $20 mil.

I am a big fan of Pac but I also like Floyd and I hope we see him fight again even if it isnt against Pac.

edit - ok plenty of good arguments for both sides

But should the two meet I cant see any other outcome other than a UD for Pac.

He throws too much, has amazing stamina and Floyd doesnt hit hard enough to stop Pac coming forward and throwing for 12 rounds. Plus Pacs chin is hard enough to take Floyds punches. Lets be honest Floyd is not a big puncher. Accurate, yes, but not hard enough to stop Pac.

Ask yourself can you really see Pac gassing out and stop throwing? If not then you have to assume, due to his use of angles/work rate, that he is connecting more than Floyd.

What is the rationale for a Floyd win? Countering?

Cotto also hits harder than Floyd but wasn't able to discourage Mosley like Floyd did. Tsyzu hits harder than Floyd but couldn't KO Hatton like Floyd did. Much moar to boxing than power.

How many of their fights have you watched? Floyd has controlled and stopped someone throwing 103 punches per a round at him before. Marquez was able to cut down emmanuel's punch output to only 52 per a round with his timing and accuracy.
