yep the punch was what knocked him off balance when he was in a weird position with his foot being stepped on. A slip and a knock down are two different things
He could out work him or crack him with a shot and finish him quick. There is a possibility. This is Boxing. The Sweet Science does also entertain miracles and magic.
stepped on his foot. Sorry man. I might as well say Barrera knocked down Pacquiao also if you want to go there This content is protected
interesting photo. I never caught that before. I always really thought Judah gave Floyd an unscored knockdown.
Where is his foot stepped on? Mayweather through a lazy straight right while dropping his lead hand and Judah countered with a lightning fast right hook. It was an unscored flash KD no matter how you slice it. If he "touched" him and his glove touched the canvas? KD. If he used the ropes to stop his momentum? KD, though many officials miss those.
I've seen a lot of times when they wouldn't score a knockdown because the fighter had his foot stepped on. I think there's an example of that in the Mayweather/Genaro Hernandez fight
not really floyd has shown the ability to move forward and still be very defensive. Unlike Pac previous opponent Hatton, cotto, Margarito who thought their size and strength would make the difference, floyd would choose to out smart and out maneuver pac.. Any fighter that just tries to crowd pac and out muscle him usually runs into shots. Floyd hits hard enough and offten enough that I pac would not try to over power Floyd that would only get KOed by walking into shots he would not see. I see a point win for ether fighter but I favor floyd.
You are exactly right, but in both of those cases neither man seemed to be able to use/implement a "power" game plan. Cotto hits harder stalking, but I think we all could agree is an inferior Boxer. Cotto fought off of his back foot jabbing Mosley in what looked like a clear decision to out point him not exchange or stop him. Same with Margo. The Tszyu fight had more to do with horrible officiating than skills keeping Hatton safe from Kosta's power. That fight got Hatton a reputation as a "wrestler" as he did more of that than actual Boxing. He got away with it though so...
that punch had no steam on it, and zab was moving back on his left foot, it was more of a push then punch. Floyd was never phased by the shot other than being off balance.
I am not disputing that having your foot stepped on should count as a KD. I agree completely. It happens. My point is that Judah didn't step on his foot. Judah caught him clean on the button while Mayweather was being lazy/overconfident. Judah didn't step on his foot. Judah matched speed and WON with him on the same sequence a few times.
IMO: Pac's hands are as fast as Mayweather's Pac's feet are faster than Mayweather's Pac hits harder than Mayweather Pac has a better chin than Mayweather Pac's conditioning is as good as Mayweather's Pac's mental strength is as good as Mayweather's (if not better, as Floyd gets all steamed up when Pac is mentioned, Pac doesn't seem to care about Floyd) Pac throws more combinations than Mayweather Pac clearly outworks Mayweather over 12 rounds Floyd is more scared of Pac than Pac is of Floyd, as Floyd is the one who lost his urge once the demands were met Floyd has never fought anyone as good as Pac, he has never fought even one prime HOF-calibre fighter in his career so is he ready for a prime, hungry, driven HOF-class opponent? Floyd has trouble with southpaws . . . I could go on and on and on. Anyone who doesn't see this as a MASSIVE challenge for Floyd is a moron, because Floyd himself clearly does view it as such, otherwise he'd have signed on the dotted and pocketed his $60m a year ago. atsch
I find it funny how you watched Cotto/ Pac and compared it to Mayweather/ Mosley, and after watching those fights...You come to the conclusion Pac has no chance. Different reasons: 1) Cotto outboxed Mosley 2) Mosley hurt Mayweather in that fight (although I admit Mayweather was a lot more aggressive which I liked) 3) Pac OBLITERATED Cotto (same guy who outboxed Mosley). Floyd simply outboxed him. So, I think it's quite funny you'd compare. If anything if I were a casual observer and watched only those 2 fights..I'd go with Pacquaio steamrolling him. I think the fights 60/40 in Pac's favor. I'd say 50/50, BUT Pac is the cash cow in this match (so that means if it's close he'll probably get the win, and usually it's the other way with Floyd getting the win), Pac could win on workrate alone (even if he doesn't land that much), and of course Pac does have all the tools to give Floyd problems. Sad though since Floyd is a coward, and won't fight him. Perhaps we can get some videos on youtube of Mayweather's prison fights the way it looks to be going.
