Please. ODLH took the fight. Mosley had a loose tooth. Mosley has NEVER been a star. He has had DECENT name recognition. Stop repeating that Arum line of trash about "playing it safe". Mayweather fought the best draws/competition out there. No catch weights. Hell Manny's resume that allegedly makes him "the greatest" is FMJ leftovers, leftovers of Mayweather's conquests, drained, or fresh off of crushing defeats.

SRL, MH, and TH were from a different era. Boxing was a mainstream sport and attracting the best talent. Even then, SRL was digging DEEP to throw that leather and it wasn't even all Grade A.

Pac can counter-punch, and he's not he best in that department. But pac's counters are a thing of beauty considering he's an offensive beast.

 

Margarito will look like Ali if he goes to most local boxing gyms too. What is done in a fight must be put into the context of the guy facing him.

Pac can "counter" a guy who shrugs his shoulders, hikes his foot, and lunges into a jab. Big whoop. Can you even call that ish countering? "Here it comes..."

 

On the level of Pac, and any other elite fighter, given the right opponent they can do ANYTHING. When pushed to their competitive limit they do what they do best.

Pac countered with DEVASTATING efficiency against Hatton and Cotto. In the same breath we must acknowledge the state both men where in when Pac met them and realize it has NO BEARING on the Mayweather fight.

It would be like me saying that the pressure Pac would apply has no chance becaues of the Chavez and Hatton fights. WTF?
