Watched Mayweather vs Hatton again.

I think a Hatton or Maidana style would be perfect on Floyd if they had old school strength or stamina. May doesn't like being roughed up against the fence with elbows grazing him and stuff and it puts him off his game. A few of the old timers could do this but would also have the power to slow him down.

 

The bent referee ruined this fight. :deal

 

Hatton's pressure was excellent, it was his punching that let him down.

 

Margarito. Unlimited stamina and would ignore anything Floyd throws.

 

That was the start of Floyd's 'bringing up a guy in weight' chapter.

 

Hatton whinges that the ref didn't do him justice, but Mayweather taken over on the inside. Clearly Floyd was the stronger fighter - and I don't think Hatton had an answer on the inside. Against Kosta, Ricky had it all his own way, he was able to bully and maul Kosta, but he couldn't do that against Floyd, and no favors from the ref would've made an ounce of difference.

 

Pressure fighters tend to reset Floyd. Once he has distance though he is awesome.

 

Margarito was slow and Floyd could have easily just boxed circles around him. (could have not would have)
One thing Manny did wrong when he faced Margarito was that he didnt tie Margarito up when he got too close. One of the reasons Manny took a beating that night.

 

As much as people complained about hattons style of fighting. It was one he used all the way through up till the mayweather fight. Hated that he got all the way there for cortez to then not allow it. Hatton without his mauling tactics had no chance in there. Certainly a fight cortez used bias in and ruined to an extent for me. Thats what made the fight so interesting the clash of two styles. In the end mayweather showed he would have won either way. But cortez lost a lot of peoples respect in that fight for me and ruined it. Hopefully the same doesnt happen with pacman mayweather. To their defence unlike hatton neither really has a roughhouse/border line illegal style so should be easy enough to referee.

God, Cortez was awful.

 

Hatton's pressure was ineffetive he didn't work when he got on the inside and he got beat at his own game. Hatton's ability to close the distance bothered PBF early but Pac isn't looking to close the distance to get inside. If anything PBF-Hatton was an underrated clinic and showed you how great PBF was in his prime beating an elite fighter at his own game.:deal

 

Margo is a slow as hell mummy. He's tailor made for PBF and is the exact type of fighter that PBF haters says he loves to fight.:deal But yeah he beats PBF because PBF didn't fight him???:roflatsch

margo could have his hands tied behind his back for 12 round and he still wouldn't get hurt by mayweather one thing is for sure that mayweather would of been in a TOUGH FIGHT
