Firstly...I don't get why people say this was such a boring fight. I thought it was entertaining...no one got hurt but there were still a good amount of clean punches.

Secondly, I don't get AT ALL why people are so hard on Clottey...he fought his typical fight, which I don't find boring. He keeps a high guard and throws when he's planted...that's exactly what he did, it just wasn't enough to put any serious hurt on Pac. Big deal. I thought he was certainly competitive with Pac throughout although Pac was clearly winning the entire fight.

Wasn't a bad fight AT ALL.

Still a good amount of clean punches?

Sure you weren't watching Manny vs Cotto?

Agree, I didn't think it was that bad. I think Pac is just held to a very high standard

not a great fight, but not a bad one either.

Yeah, Clottey fought his fight and that's one of amazing underachievement. Why is he so reluctant to throw even though he is very effective when he does? He should've beaten Cotto 8-4 and at least drawed with Margarito. This is a guy who one could argue was undefeated going in against Pacman.

It would've been nice to see Clottey step up a little from his usual game plan and actually go for a win. But he didn't. That's why people are down on him.

yea i started watching it got to rd 4 and fast forwarded the rest of the fight....of course on like level 2 fast forward so that i can still see it a little...

but yeah it sucked as a fight...but it wasn't that big of a surprise Clottey once again showed why he loses all his big fights...The sad thing is that if he threw more punches he could've probably won at least 2 of the fights he loss

He was reluctant because he didn't have any openings at all. Pac's pressure and volume nullified any chance of offense. It's confusing that so many people don't seem to see that. Especially on a boxing board where everyone's an expert. No offense intended Klion.

Its a bad fight when you know the outcome from round 1. It is a bad fight b/c each round looked like the last round. Nothing changed and the fact that Clottey put no effort in actually trying to win. If you seen Clottey fight you know he just dont sit there and get punched on his arms.. he gets physical and fights rough pushes, headbutts, low blows when somebody is moving too much or on him too much. He did not impose his size or strength on Manny like he did with Cotto or Judah or anyone else for the matter. There was nothing stopping him from getting physical with catfish. He fought a polite fight and he dont fight like that. Glove touching after each round.. when did he do that last. Watch Clottey Guiterrez ..lol and still say it was the same Clottey. ****ing goofs.

Question? How many people were like me, and the poster of this thread, and waited until this fight was shown last night on HBO for FREE to watch it?
