    3 Things .......

    1. DLH looked even worse than when i watched it live. He couldn't throw a punch, very sad to see , like an old man being beat up for change.

    2. Mayweather would box Pacquaio's ears off . Too small, too easy too hit.

    3. Hatton would be a 50/50 fight . Pacquaio looked vulnerable to the body, something Oscar in his OAP state couldn't capitalise on but which Hatton would gleefully attack .

None of this is slating Pacquaio, good achievement, great little fighter and every bit as good as he is ranked, but Oscar was truly awful.
I realise that most people recognise these points but the only reason for me posting is for the posters on here that are going far too over the top about this fight .

Totally agree, PBF Vs PAc is justa example of how short sighted us boxing fans are.

i wont mayweather in there with Margo, Cotto, Williams not Pacman. Hatton Vs Pac for the 140 title is a great match, and im actually leening towards hatton.

I think it's a bit much to say that what you picked up from DLH v Pac fight was that Pac is too easy to hit when Oscar didn't land meaningful shot in the entire fight. Same with being vulnerable to the body, given that Oscar didn't land a good body shot on Pac.

Agreed that Pac does look a touch sloppy and reckless at times, but I've only ever seen two fighters capitalise on that (JMM and Morales obviously) and only then in spurts, and IMO at no point did that occur in the schooling that Pac dished out on Oscar.

Hatton v Pac would be a great fight. Pac could possibly be too quick with hands and feet for the hitman but the Malignaggi fight showed that Ricky can find a difficult target.

****in same people who thought dlh ko's pac are the same people saying hoya was shot as ****... geezz.. enough already...

pac wins against hatton via f*ckin TKO.. and mayweather vs pac will be a great fight, money may might win but it will be as close as it gets

Pacs boxing skills looked sublime, not many fighters would have exposed DLH as shot like that.

agree with that. manny is indeed sublime, but it doesn't change the fact that oscar was horrendous.

i didn't pick a winner, i steer clear of predictions mostly. but anyone who did predict that had no idea how washed up DLH was .hindsight is a wonderful thing.

against a taller opponant the body is usally harder to hit especially with hands up. so it dosent need much defense when some one has to punch down. the opposite can be said for the smaller opponant.

    hatton 50/50
floyed 70/30 mostly becuase i dont know how being inactive is treating him. remember morales took a year off and said he came back refreshed only to get a worse beat down.

The one thing that tells me and what I saw is that something made Oscar not throw. I know we all say he cannot pull the trigger but he was inactive recently, but really maybe Pac punches harder than we think. Oscar did not fight Floyd that long ago. And he had one fight since and was not banged up just a little in the face with Forbes. Oscar was never a real gutsy fighter who took chances. If you had Tommy Hearns in there he would have thrown punches no matter what and taken chances, Oscar is not that type of fighter, so maybe when Pac was landing Oscar didn't want to commit and be hit with cleaner punches. I think Pacman had more to do with Oscar losing than Oscar's condition. :bbb

Maybe because that wasn't the Oscar Delahoya you've watched over all of these years...maybe just...maybe he threw the fight.

The dude didn't throw 1 meaningful punch the whole fight how can you people not see it.

i'm not of the opinion he threw the fight. too far-fetched for me. it was obviously a mix of pacquaio being a super-hard ******* and DLH not having it anymore. agree with the post above saying he looked scared of throwing punches as if he knew he had no chance and his only thought was of self-preservation. it was an awful performance and far far worse than jones jnr against calzaghe, which seemed to attract so much vitriole on these boards.

this is my comment on another thread after i rewatched the fight:

i rewatched the fight. oscar seem to not throwing the jab and punches anymore because of pac's own doing. he is constantly moving not just forward and backward but moving from side-to-side while bobbing and weaving. oscar did tried to jab during the early part but cannot connect due to pac's elusive movement. he wants to throw jabs but pac is nowhere near in front of him. and besides, pac's left are connecting towards hoya's face that makes hoya more tentative.

All I can say is, put DLH with a guy as fast as a glacier, and he will look like a million dollars. DLH-Mayorga 2 anyone?
