Its been a while since Pacman was in a competetive fight so I had to rewatched this to remind myself Pacman is still beatable. Round 1. Pac ......10-9 Pac Round 2. JMM...... 19-19 draw Round 3. Pac .....29-27 for Pac Round 4. Pac...... 39-36 fpr Pac Round 5. JMM..... 48-46 for Pac Round 6. JMM .....57-56 for Pac Round 7. Pac..... 67-65 for Pac Round 8. JMM..... 76-75 for Pac Round 9. Pac...... 86-84 for Pac Round 10. Pac ....96-93 for Pac Round 11. JMM ...105-103 for Pac Round 12. JMM... 114-113 for Pac I love this fight not only was this a strategic (and war) battle between the fighters, a chess match between Roach and Nacho but also a contest between the 2 cutman who had their work cut out for them(no pun intended). Everyone on each team played a very significant role, to try to win the fight. When these 2 fighters careers are over, this is a fight that definetely needs to go into HBO's legendary fights. Due to big rivalry between these 2 future ATGs, the controversial first fight, disputed fight decision here and how both fighters took GIANT steps afterwards trying to one up each other.
wats vasquez been up to lately? don't hear much of him.... those vasqez vs marquez fights were brutal.
I forgot to mention the atmosphere was just remarkable, these 2 guys got the best fans in the sport. Each trading off chants for their fighter for the entire fight...wow "Manny Manny Manny"..."Marquez Marquez Marquez"
When the 3rd fight happens, HBO definitely needs to add it to their hbo legendary nights episodes, as well as Gatti/Ward. :good
Oddly enough, the 7th. I really felt like they split that round right down the middle, with the break in the action from a cut coming at almost exactly the 1:30 mark. But obviously, a point either way is a great card.
I personally thought Marquez nipped this but if a fight is that close I don't have a problem with it going either way.
Marquez edged it out close but clear IMO. I don't have a problem with Pac by a point, per se...it's just wrong. Pac 115-112, as Ford had? Insipid.
