I was going through my boxing tapes last night and I came across the fight so I threw it in. I don't like Vitali Klitschko at all but I gotta say that he was a monster that night and I honestly believe that version of him would beat anybody (outside of Wlad) in the division today. That was a Vitali who was riding the momentum of the Lewis fight trying to make an impression. He came out aggressive and sharp and pummeled Johnson. He mixed his attack, right hands, short left hooks, etc. Now I know you're gonna say that Johnson was out of shape and rightly so but I don't think it would have even mattered if Johnson came in fit. Not many people would have beaten Klitschko on that night.
Yea he was on a mission that night. No one has ever done that to Kirk...I know he was out of shape but still...damn!

This is one of the best posts I have ever seen on this board. A+ for creativity and for accuracy as well. Still, Vitali was a machine that night.
what could have been. well maybe we'd have just seen two brothers dominating, but refusing to fight so never truely knowing who the king was, understandably though.
:rofl :rofl Wlad is better boxer in that family, altought Vitaly was very good that fight, like most of his fight's..
That fight featured another one of Larry's all-time classic lines: "So, Krispy-Kreme breath, why'd ya do it?" (Pardon if not verbatim.)
