That 2” is oh so very important.

As the husband lamented to his wife in bed -“ just 2” more and I’d be a King. The wife drily responded - “2” less and you’d be a Queen”.

Ouch! Royally sh*t on. Apparently not a lot of “wiggle” room there.

Just suppose you are watching Sonny Liston vs Muhammad Ali I from Feb 25 1964 for the umpteenth time, the two combatants stop, then look at you and say to you, You Have A Problem With Us? Why Can't You Forget About Us? Do We Owe You Anything? If it was me, I would hurry up and change the channel. I would never watch that fight again as long as I lived, Lol.

    LOL! Good one Rich.

Now that’s a surreal concept the great Rod Serling would’ve been proud of.

If you don’t make it to your remote in time to change channel it could become very Un-Pleasantville as Sonny’s inhumanly extended arms (Freddy Kruger like) reach out from the screen and pull you into the Miami ring and the black and white world of 1964.

And then the Beatles hit I Want To Hold Your Hand Comes on over the loudspeaker, women who seated at ringside are wearing their Beehive hairstyles, are watching in horror as Sonny Liston grabs you by the throat, he says, I Don't Want To Hold Your Hand, I Want To Break It. You Remind Me Of That Fellow Who Owes My Boss Frankie Carbo A Wad Of Dough. Just Then Cassius Clay ( Muhammad Ali) comes in and blinds Liston with that eye blinding Liniment, Clay tells you to Run.

LOL, you’re right into the swing of it now…’64, the same year they caught The Boston Strangler, Albert DeSalvo - maybe Sonny’s looking to assume DeSalvo’s mantle as a Copycat Killer - his first victim, an innocent boxing fan hauled back from 58 years into the future.

Rich, we have the premise, we just need to flesh out the story and get financial backing for the movie. We can be like Affleck and Damon - movie making Wunderkinds!

PS - We also need a Doc Brown character and his DeLorean to save the day. I’m sure I have Christopher Lloyd’s number somewhere….

Springs Toledo who is a well researched author reckons he was born in July 1930.
That made him 33 for the first Ali fight.

Liston look old for American 33 but might could be 33 possible with alcoholic drinks addict & drugs addict & tough bad life experienced. he was old man in ring definite.

    33 isn't that old , especially for a slugger.

Well Springs Toledo is at odds with the 1940 census, the 1950 census, Newspaper records, official police records, and doctors who estimated Liston's age to be 38-41 after observing him.

What were Joe Frazier, Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano etc doing at that age?

Foreman was already years retired by that point (before his comeback).

Riddick Bowe was suffering from permanent brain damage.

Can you name any pre-70s sluggers who were in their prime at 33, months away from 34? Which against was almost certainly younger than Liston's actual age at the time.

Ha, Ha, I love the idea, do you think that Christopher Lloyd would do it?

In the 1940 census Liston’s age was recorded as 10.
