Would you rather have gotten knocked out in a war or make a deal with some dude, that involved you sitting in the corner, in tears, while your adversary banged your girl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9f96mllq04
pac will never get in the ring with canelo, he cant afford another cold ko, pac is too small for canelo had nothing to do with speed....
No, speed has a lot to do with it. Canelo is a good boxer, but he is nowhere near fast enough to deal with Pacquaio's speed and power. Perhaps Canelo can take a beating, but that's the only way he would get through that fight. He would have to take a beating to beat Pacquaio. It is possible he could stop Pacquaio with a single punch, but it is highly unlikely he would do that unscathed, and by the time he can, he won't have the stamina to do it, and he'll be well on his way to being stopped. You know why Floyd doesn't want any piece of Pacquiao? Look at Ledwaba duck after his punches, especially his right hand, after he throws he ducks and Pacquaio kills him with that left uppercut, knocking him down around 1.32. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gASk2E1Ih68 Mayweather KNOWS he would get killed by that left uppercut. Guerrero was even landing it...WITH EASE initially. Pacquaio would **** Mayweather up which is exactly why he wants NO piece of him.
After watching the live workout I still feel like Mayweather takes this but Canelo is definitely going to land a few of those vicious shots and have his moments. His punches seem a little tighter but who knows if they will be come fight night. Kind of an off-topic question, how many champions/former champions has Mayweather fought in his career? How many has Canelo?
He landed like 2...and they were to the body, and never landed any more after like round 3. They were more of left hooks than an uppercut, ive actually never seen floyd hit with an uppercut before, not even judah's patented left uppercut with blinding speed could catch him. Maybe once against cotto but it was partially blocked, ive never seen him hit with a flush uppercut. Also floyd doesn't duck straight down he does it as hes countering with your punch and at an angle opposite of the one you threw, or simply under the punch you just launched so your next one would have to reach parallel to your body leaving you helplessly missing and completely out of position. Essentially your punch was timed, countered and your next one avoided all in one swoop, that's why nobody has ever been able to really hit him once he's got your timing down and he does that, he also doesn't do it repeatedly, in fact he mixes up high and low attacks set up with body jabs and straight right body jabs. That's why nobody ever really expects it when he goes upstairs with them and they cant find him once he's timed/countered/slipped all in one attack. And right when youve been hit and your next punch avoided he's out of there and you have to now reset. With manny constantly off balance trying to reach at floyd from a distance too far (floyd has a huge reach advantage) that straight right would constantly find a home with ease, and he'd be at a range where Manny couldnt effectively counterattack without resetting and simply leaving himself open with a flurry on his way in, which would actually ironically be his best option of attacking floyd because of his ability to punch with power in every punch in a flurry.
Lol. You clearly don't understand physics and realize that Pacquaio is considerably shorter than Mayweather. You also don't understand that Guerrero is tall, gangly, and slow as ****, with the explosiveness of a 2 year old that can barely walk. Mayweather would duck RIGHT into Pacquaio's punches. Pacquaio is a midget, and he's so explosive he can catch Mayweather going backwards. Also, against EVERY single southpaw, (please provide video evidence that proves otherwise), Mayweather throws his right hand and steps forward with his entire body. If he did this against Pacquaio which, HISTORY shows he has done against EVERY SINGLE OTHER SOUTHPAW in his entire career, he will step right into Pacquaio's left uppercut. Pacquaio is explosive enough to step land that punch, and then step back and throw a flurry. Mayweather says he won't fight him, yet he wears a shirt to disrespect him. That's a coward. He has no intention of fighting Pacquaio, and that's why. Also, Pacquaio is a very dangerous fighter to be throwing "body jabs" at. Apparently you haven't see the Judah fight where Floyd tried that and was hit with a right hook and got knocked down, even though it wasn't called. He then had to make adjustments. If you are familiar with Floyd's fights, you would realize his main goal against southpaws is to land that right hand to the body, not the jab. He uses the jab upstairs, but the right hand upstairs and down stairs. In this case, he risks getting hit with the left uppercut or the right hook. He's scared. Always has been. It's pathetic at this point.
Canelo is 23 Floyd is 36 How many do you expect him to fight? He just beat the 2nd best fighter at JMW. Not good enough for you?
At his age? None. However I know he has fought at least a few so far. I wasn't trying to take a shot at Canelo or his credentials, was just curious about what the number actually was for both fighters. Does anybody know?
First off. You can probably count on one hand how many meaningful uppercuts Manny has even thrown in his previous 5 fights. Second off Floyd wont duck into Manny's chest as your making it sound he does, he ducks under the punch or at an angle off to the side making it impossible to catch him unless you punch with him out of position, or throw a left hook to the body right as he does it (orthadox stance). You make it seem like hes lunging into his hand. Third. The judah counterpunch was flawless. He caught floyd COMING IN. Floyd had not yet established rhythm, timing, or spacing at the point in the fight, and it wasnt a body jab it was a straight right to the body from a position he had no business throwing and judah, being a more proficient counterpuncher than manny, and at the time probably faster than floyd and manny at throwing single punches caught floyd off balance and out of position whilst too far away throwing the punch. Pac hasnt shown that type of ability to do that when a guy is doing a punch like that. Four. How many times has he countered Marquez doing body straights? How many times has he countered him after lunching straight rights? Not many in 4 total fights because like floyd, Marquez is a master of spacing and he throws those punches where pac wont be able to simply hit him back, and thats from a guy with the same reach as him! Marquez who has better combination punches than just about anyone in the sport, couldnt land on floyd with anything when he lunged in with straights to the body or head. If you think floyd will just throw the punch and take a picture after your wrong he will float right away after either feiting to set up one of those or landing one, and im telling you he uses his reach in combo with his legs very well and before pac will be able to throw a hook (which he doesnt throw regularly) or an uppercut (which he nearly never throws) floyd is ghost. I mean we can do this all day, the facts are against a great technical counterpuncher manny will struggle, bottom line. Against a man naturally taller, longer and fighting defensively, he will absolutely struggle to find his rhythm and by default his output will go drastically down, his timing and accuracy also drop, and he wont look good. Just look at what Bradley did (whom I thought lost btw, but it wasn't a blowout as people suggest) just using his legs and not allowing manny to simply throw combinations for many of the rounds. Actually manny mostly flurried at the end of rounds in frustration. Like I said we can do this for forever, so lets just agree to disagree, you think Floyd is afraid, I dont think any man who steps in the ring is afraid to fight anyone or why would they fight professionally to begin with. Thats your opinion, so whatever, I'm not dwelling on this any longer the fight wont happen anyway so lets just enjoy Floyd v Canelo
