Been years since I watched this fight, I was definitely a giddy Pac fan back then. I wanted him to destroy Oscar and the fact that he did was great! But watching now I'm paying more attention to Oscar...what is he doing? Oscar has no straight right hand at all, as a matter of fact he has no right hand period! He won't even fight on the inside or try to rough up Manny like he attempted to do Floyd.

He never forces Manny to come to him, he's constantly on his front foot, he makes no adjustments during the fight, what the hell! If I were an Oscar fan I'd had been extremely upset with that performance, did he learn nothing from Morales and Marquez?

Oscar is trying to land slow wide left hooks the entire fight! I do take in consideration this is probably PED Manny and drained Oscar but Oscar's fight plan is horrid, it's as if his entire strategy is based on being physically bigger.

when I saw the fight night weight and saw that Oscar hadn't rehydrated I knew he was in trouble. I wish Oscar wouldn't stayed at 154 and fought Margarito coming off his win of Cotto.

not to take anythign from manny, he is good at what he does...but Oscar was drained......wasn't there a clause or someone from the announcers said that they have a weight clause??? I meant...Oscar was fighting 160 for crying out loud and for weight in 147 and 148 on fight night..he was clearly tired and drained...

I think Oscar may have been dumb enough to think that if he came in lighter he'd be faster...what he got was fatigue and no punch resistance.

Considering Oscar had to come down in weight. I wasn't to impressed by Pac victory. I know some will say, but Manny moved up. Yeah I know he did, but it takes more out of fighter, when he's drained vs moving up.

Oscar looked terrible that night, like a zombie. Gaunt, withdrawn, and weak. I couldn't believe he didn't go down. Manny was phenomenal though, no question.

He should have been, it's not like he didn't get schooled by Morales and Marquez previously

Then again Oscar did hire Nacho Beristan so he was considering the Marquez strategy but what kind of trainer would let his fighter weight drain himself like that?

I remember the 24/7 episodes, didn't even seem he was training all out either, that was the feel I got before the fight. He had his family, with him while training which was a first for him.

I wanted pac to win, and it was an annihilation. But man, Oscar looked like a shell of himself that night.

weighed in at 145 and rehydrated to 148, makes... no... damn.....sense! Fight was contracted at 147 but make no mistake this is the epitomy of a Catchweight for Oscar!
