Oscar may not have been at his ideal weight but the dehydration excuses go overboard. Oscar didn't get bin there anemic and sick, he was fine. What was he, 8 lbs lighter than his preferred 154? that's nothing! anyone here feel anemic and useless if they were 8 lb different? The excuse makers make it seem like Oscar dropped 30 lbs and was sick, like a cancer patient. 8 freaking pounds is abolsutely nothing. I totally get that he was not at his ideal weight and he just didn't look his best but that night was a combination of him being past his best, him not being at his ideal weight and Pacquiao being too freaking fast and good. Pacquiao also destroyed Cotto and no, cotto wasn't a cancer patient too. DLH was very troubled by many things Pacquaio did - his head movement, his footwork , his hand speed. DLH wasn't throwing a lot, in part, because Pacquiao was moving a lot. In addition to Pacquiao moving a lot, he was throwing flurries that DLH was having trouble with. A fighter can all of sudden become inactive when an opponent is this fast and busy throwing punches.
it is nothing... absolutely nothing. Didn't Pacquiao start at 120 lbs and he's now at 147? wasn't Mayweather at 130 once and now at 154? wasn't Cotto at 147 and moved up to 160? don't fighters enter the ring at 165 when they are 145 a few days earlier at weight time? these are 10-30 lb swings and here we are throwing a fuss about 8 lbs i have gained and lost 8 lbs like nothing. I don't know what world some of you live in but 8 lbs is nothing, it's 2 weeks of eating **** or eating healthy.
You're talking about two entirely different things dummy. Going up in weight and going DOWN to a weight you haven't fought in years are two different things. You don't know what you're talking about.
What the **** is wrong with you? He was 2-1 against Morales and the 1 was 115-113 on all cards. Is that you definition of schooled? He was 1-0-1 against Marquez. You are pathetic.
After three knockdown Marquez schooled Manny for 11 rounds straight. He made adjustments unlike Oscar
you don't know what you are talking about. If Pacquiao had to go down to 140, it would be nothing for him. If Floyd had to go down to 140, he could do it easily. I'm not denying DLH didn't fight at his most comfortable weight but to make it look like he was a zombie, is preposterous. maybe if DLH went down to 130 would i agree that he was a zombie, this is enough of a weight loss to affect you physically and make you anemic and weak. But 8 lbs? especially for athletes that have strength and conditioning coaches and know all about fitness and conditioning? DLH could've beaten many solid fighters on that day, he runs into prime Pac, gets destroyed and he was a zombie. Same goes for Cotto, Hatton, Margarito... Rios... all were zombies. Pacquiao hasn't beaten anyone that wasn't a zombie due to dehydration... sure.
only if you are not a Pac fan... those fights were close as sh$t... Pac fans see it one way, non-Pac fans another way. One judge in their first fight admitted that he mistakenly scored the 1st round 10-7, instead of 10-6 (usual for 3 knock downs) so Pac should've won that fight... all subsequent fights were close... JMM never loses, many believe he beat Bradley too. There is something nasty about JMM fans, they are some of the most fanatic
2 of the fights were close, 2 were not...the first 2 in my opinion were draws, the last 2 clear Marquez victories. In each of the four fights I was more impressed with Marquez performance over Pacquiao. Take away the knockdowns and Marquez wins them all clearly
How many times do you people have to reinvent history . Oscar took a different path than normal and used a dietician .He was on weight a week before the fight. There are a number of article on this so go look them up . Start by Arguing with his trainer for the fight. Nacho Berstian stated there were no trouble with make the weight.
I'm a Floyd fan, and I just rewatched Corrales I. I used to sigh in relief that Floyd got the W but seeing it again now I realize the truth is Floyd got schooled so hard
