If Donaire wanted to make a big splash, he's failing miserably. And a lot of that has to do with the opponent, but Garcia's advise is non-existent. That being said Donaire is winning the fight... :patsch

he would of been better off not fighting at all than fighting this guy, his demand just went way down

he still pitched a shutout, not his fault the guy didn't want to fight.

Your talking about a two division champ who was undefeated and with a high guard. Anyone would have look bad against him. I really don't like Garcia as his trainer, but what you going to do. 122 here he comes.

I think alot of people never saw Narvaez fight before tonight. Guy was undefeated for a reason.

That's very obvious now. I wonder why Arum picked him then.

    here is the reason

    Donaire is
    5" taller
slightly faster (due to donaire being +7 years younger)
    stronger
5 in reach advantage- no 1 reason why fight was a borefest navarez jabs could not reach donaire
+20 lbs heavier on fight night also

in other words it was a klitschko adamek type match up to make donaire look spectacular

Probably either to protect Rigondeux or as a test to see if Donaire was ready for Rigondeux.

    :think

I agree to a certain point. Garcia is responsible for coming up with a game-plan. If he scouted this guy, Narvaez style shouldn't have been a surprise. This is something he should have suspected. Donaire was very one dimensional... DIDN'T go to the body even remotely enough. All Garcia could say is "well if that's the way this guy wants to fight."... WTF??? Garcia had a negligible effect, in any affect at all. :-:)smoke

Donaire still won easily, narvaez is slick and made donaire miss at times! Why blame it all on Garcia?:patsch

Garcia was giving good advice. He said, don't get too excited and no mistakes. Not much to tell your fighter what to do when he's winning on all the cards.

Didn't need this fight and Linares-DeMarco to know that Roach and Garcia are overrated trainers.

Garcia told donaire to go to the body then throw the hooks-Donaire failed to execute. He should work on inside fighting.
