That's overstating the case quite a bit, I'm afraid.

You mean like Lew did in real life to ****** Mike. THE PUNK who quit or got KOd or disqualified in EVERY tough fight he ever had. Just like all street thugs Tyson pussyyd out when confronted with a tenact confident opponent and minus his street posse. Classic street punk pussyy.

While I think Lewis definitely makes it out of the first round, keep in mind, Lewis was stopped 2x with single shots in his career. Many people would've thought that saying Tyson would stop Spinks in 1 round was fanboy stuff until it actually happened.

I won 50$ that night betting Tyson KO 1. Spinks was small thinwaisted and terrified. I had no doubt what would happen. Once more, you CANNOT compare terror stricken Mike Spinks to a big natural hard hitting heavy like Lewis.

Spinks was an ATG undefeated champion who many believed was a very good bet to beat Tyson and Spinks likely would've been formidable to many heavies, just not super fast, power punching heavies like a young Tyson. I see no reason why he wouldn't have had similar success as did Patterson, who was also a bulked a LHW, but bulked up to what would today be considered a cruiser, not a true heavy. Patterson would've been stopped in a manner similar to how Spinks was by a young Tyson, but that doesn't mean he would be stopped the same way by say, Bonavena.

Plus, the point was, there is some precedence for Lewis being stopped early by a young Tyson based on the fact that he was stopped 2x by two lesser and slower punchers who caught him with shots he didn't see coming. There was no precedence for Spinks being stopped early.

But Lewis took these fighters lightly, when switched on Lewis had a very decent chin. He wouldn't be so careless against Tyson and would dismantle him.

I don't see him dismantling a young Tyson. Very dangerous fight for Lennox.

Yes but it's a very dangerous fight for young Tyson, by far the most dangerous in his career.

I knew NO ONE who thought Spinks stood a chance. It was so obvious Sinks hardcore terror and thin frame. Anyone who was around then can tell you. You're wrong.
