Usyk and Inoue are a privilege to watch, but there is certain cinematic quality to Loma that just makes you feel like you are watching a martial arts movie. It's fight week.
Yeah it's special watching a seasoned pro think he can lose 6 rounds doing nothing in a row and expect to win on KO late despite being an attrition fighter.
Almost as special as watching a newly crowned champ duck the rematch, hold up a division for 3 years pretending to have mental issues, and fight guys well beneath his skill for the next half a decade.
Yep Loma has always been a privilege to watch he is great for the sport of boxing. It would be a shame to see him lose to an ass clown like Haney who wouldn't have stood a chance against him in his prime but I have a good feeling that Loma has enough left to take him out.
you expect him to look like joyce, when he starts to slow down? you wont be able to tell if hes slowed down till haney starts to pump that jab.
By the eye test, Who you think was faster ? Haney in the last fight or Loma when he was fighting Commey ?
Agree with the Loma part of your post. I see Loma looking sharp, focused and aggressive. If he hurts Haney early, look for the fight to be a blow out. 10-2, 9-3 type fight. Haney will go defensive once he gets tagged hard.
i think loma has a speed edge, but haney has the range to neutralize it. but the speed difference thats gonna make the difference is not the one you can measure with the eye, its his launch time. his reaction time. the time it takes for his mind to realize a punch is coming, signal his muscles to move his head to the side, and evade the punch. you cant measure that with the eye, because the crucial parts are happening in his body.
