Man, the guy truly makes boxing an art form. Last night, he stood there and fought Diaz's fight almost perfectly for Juan...he stood on the ropes, took hard shots and let Diaz throw combinations. But from round 3 on, you could notice little things changing. The accuracy of JMM was there...when they'd flurry those hard shots on the ropes, Diaz was getting caught more than he was landing...and getting caught HARD. That kind of accuracy you only get from someone as good as Marquez. He would then bring Diaz to the center of the ring and land some BEAUTIFUL combinations...uppercuts, right hands, hooks, all together right between Diaz's gaurd. And the bodyshots...WOW. I could tell from about round 4 that Diaz was getting tentative from taking too many hard shots, especially the ones to the body. His workrate was dropping and his punches were getting less accurate. And the ending was nothing short of masterful. To throw an uppercut where Marquez did to finish him off was a work of pure art. Kudos to the master, Juan Manuel Marquez!
I'd rather you compared him to Michelangelo doing the sistine chapel. Marquez did fight splendidly yesterday.
i feel you, there was one time when they were against the ropes and Diaz threw about a 8punch combination at Marquez, and he blocked/slipped all of them then followed up with his own combo,.. then got off the ropes b4 Diaz could even think about retaliating Marquez is easily the most complete fighter in all of boxing, he's a ****in monster
