I try to go to at least one big fight a year and have paid for ringside on a few occasions. I watched Hatton/Lazcano, Calzaghe/Lacy, Hamed/Robinson, Calzaghe/Kessler and Benn/Collins 1 from the first 5 rows and they were the most memorable live fights for me. Also your perspective of the fight is different from ringside, the sound, the smell and the vibration is intense but you cant see a lot of the action from that close. The fight will always be different when you watch it on TV later. I recommend it, at least once, but at a big stadium fight in the UK. I've watched live boxing in England, Scotland, Wales, N Ireland, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Italy, US and Canada. The English and Welsh are by far the most passionate and generate the best atmosphere but the Germans and the N. Irish are close.
Not really the best place to closely watch a fight. Lots of distractions along with the low angle and ropes.
