do you think fighters should be judged on their records, or who they fought and when?

If Void wanted to please the fans, he would fight Pac, but he is way too afraid.......and always has been............

No...Floyd is afraid of Manny, because Manny is the most likely fighter to take his Zero away from him and his whole career - his ability to command big purses - is built around that Zero. If Manny loses a fight, then perhaps his pay drops a bit for the next fight, but overall, he probably makes even more money selling Sneakers, or Philipino Hot Sauce, or Beer or Kenticky Fried Chicken, or such. On the otherhand, Floyd does not have ANY endorsements of note - that's because he's a douche. So if Floyd takes a loss, his income really takes a hit.

Floyd has no endorsements, but he's easily the highest paid sportsman in the world
Floyd isn't afraid of manny, but he hasn't pursued the fight partly because he isn't sure he will win it (at least 4 years ago)

remember, pac has been very passive about this over the last 4-5 years
he has rarely talked the fight up
that's no excuse for Floyd though

Not saying you don't have a point or didn't see what you saw (haven't it seen it myself) but it won't matter much. Floyd has been Floyd for too long, the boxing discipline and will to win are instinctual to him. Even if he experiences a lull and gets clocked because of it, it'll just wake him up, and then he'll proceed to clean up on Maidana. Then maybe he'll decide to retire after or decide otherwise, one thing's for sure, he's not losing to Maidana.

Not even close. I was just reading Forbes and they reported that Pacman had endorsement deals of only $6 Million...right! Maybe in America, but Pacman works for multinationals and gets paid with endorsement money that Forbes never hears about.

Seriously, if the likes of Golfer Phil Mickelson can earn $43 Million/Year in endorsements - just endorsements - then I can't imagine what a Pacquiao earns in endorsements: a man that is an Icon to 2 Billion Asians.

Safe to say, Pacman probably nets nearly as much in endorsements than Mayweather earns in fights. That's how the world works.

fair call, but how does that add up after the taxman takes his reinvigorated cut?

Very good as the US has a pretty-high tax rate - and Pacman can avoid that. So...if Manny's checks are being cut out of Hong Kong, Macaau, Geneva or the like, then it's pretty sweet.

its tough to sell this fight. but hey, he's trying by tangential tactics -like I' thinking of retiring (so buy this fight) or I'm gonna beat him at his own game (buy this fight), etc. all show no substance. Typical Mayweather.

He can afford to be off against someone like Maidana, so no worries there.
