The Resto, Collins documentary was riveting. Resto was a kid who knew what was going on but probably not in a position to say much. Panama lewis is pure scum.

Makes me wonder how many fighters have used plaster or Asthma pills in the water bottle.

    James Toney

  6. Steroid use in boxing is just as dangerous as fighting with loaded gloves. The kind Shane used improve your stamina. If you can box at a furious pace during the course of a fight and your opponent gets tired, you can really hurt him. Shane should also be banned for life.

Toney was caught positive, but that can easily be attributed to being a sportswise illegal but medically usual treatment of his muscle tear. He didn't exactly show the roided body of people who do it massively for performance boost.

  11. Most likely, many of them dope. It is a known fact (to anybody who follows professional cycling...) that drug evasion technology is always far ahead of drug detection technology. Hell, EPO wasn't even detectable until 1999. Lance Armstrong, of course, maintains that he never took EPO even back in the days when it was known to be undetectable. Cycling is the most doped up sport in the world and consequently the most tested. Still, only a fraction of them get caught.

The moral of the story is that doping is easy. If you are an athlete, with access to money and a will to win, you will more than likely consider doping. If you do it correctly, you will get away with it.

People cannot even begin to imagine the extent to which doping exists in sports.

The next big thing is going to be 'gene doping', and when we get to that stage..well let's just say it's K.O. rnd 1 for the dopers...

I saw the HBO documentary, anyone who modifies gloves and modifies wrappings should be banned from boxing. Margarito should never fight again; he claimed he was not aware of what was going on with the hand wraps. People will do anything and everything to win. Your eyes are not that far from your hand and Margarito is obviously not blind. He knew what he was doing. How many fights before the Mosley did he do this? I believe we need to go to the Cintron first fight. Margarito was lucky he didn't get charged with attempted aggrevated battery. This type of unfair advantage can lead to serious damage or even death.
