Can we put this Ali apologized stuff to bed already?

"I want to speak to MARVIS......now run along and go tell your daddy I'm sorry" is not a proper apology. That's how a punk admits they were wrong, and that's a punk apology. Ali can say that **** was to promote the fight, but it was actually Ali being a gigantic dickhead, racist bigot. He was also a massive hypocrite, too, in case you missed the stuff about his adultery while preaching the message of the Nation of Islam.

Larry, I'm not going to call you stupid or names or anything like that, but I have a hard time seeing how you can instantly dismiss all the blatant racism and bigotry shown to Frazier by Ali, and then sit back and proclaim Frazier to be the one saying bitter and pathetic things?? What the hell? Frazier reached out to Ali and helped him professionally AND financially, back when Ali was doing bit parts in off Broadway plays to try and put some food on the table. And as soon as Ali was back in the world of boxing and was given a title fight, suddenly Ali thinks Frazier is less than a man, a non-eloquent gorilla. That's not hyping the fight, that's Ali being a dickhead.

And hey, I'm sure Frazier is bitter and jealous, he has a right to be. But then again, maybe Ali might be a bit jealous these days too. I'm not going to say that Ali "got what he deserved," but watching that documentary and seeing Ali tell the world he was better than Frazier because he spoke with such eloquence and could recite poetry, and Joe was "duh duh duh." Now the ultra-eloquent Ali can't coherently speak a word without a mouthful of spit dribbling out of his mouth. The irony is so thick you could cut it with a knife.

ali made mistakes and made remarks that should not have been said, and he even said it himself, and even apologized (although im not sure if he also did it personally) he ain't some perfect icon, and if you werent too dumb, you will understand where frazier is coming from.

you just cant say that frazier was jealous and **** right away just because you have finished watching the documentary about fraziers grudge on ali and never really understood what its all about

Well you're certainly acting like it. Anyone who talks about Frazier as if he's some bum is either a colossal ***** or totally uninformed.

Yeah, he is bitter. But you didn't walk in his shoes. Each person takes insults differently and maybe Ali did go too far with his constant verbal abuses and it rubbed Frazier completely the wrong way. I'm not saying it's OK to be bitter but you haven't walked in his shoes to know exactly what he went through.

Ali made Joe so much money in all that hype, so they're even..

Ali was the draw during that period, so of course Joe would try to support him to get his license back.. because he stood to gain so much money from fighting him.

Awww poor guy.. he got called names and made fun of. So ****ing what. I saw BHop disrespect an entire race of people by tossing a flag on the ground.. and made the infamous "white boy" comment (lol) - and Mayorga disrespected people's wives, and Tyson disrespect everyone.. and on and on and on..

Who gives a crap! ALL of them did it to get their fights promoted and to polarize people - and it works. Calling Joe a stupid gorilla and uncle Tom - so ****ing what. He's bigger than that, and better than that, to allow words to get under his skin for decades after the fact.
