    I've been one of Ward's bigger fans on these boards for years, but after last night, I'm even less convinced Ward beats him, and I was favoring Kovalev to begin with. It's not a knock on Ward, and I'm not writing Ward off by any stretch, but Kovalev is just so darn efficient at what he does.

    Agreed.

    Kovalev was getting hit with LEAD left hooks and LEAD right hands - almost as if the punches were scripted - and he fights with his hands at his waist. I'm sorry but guys who are supposed to be in the upper echelon don't consistently get hit with those kinda shots. He's also not the fastest guy I've ever seen and I think Ward's speed is going to be an issue for him.

    Kovalev's best win to date is a guy who was *49* years old. Everyone else he's fought has been B- level at best - and that includes Pascal...

    Hopkins is the same guy who got beaten by Chad Dawson 2.5 years earlier. The same Chad Dawson who Andre Ward is regularly derided for having beaten by the know-it-alls around here. So, if Kovalev's win over Hopkins carries so much weight then why isn't the Kovalev nut swinging crowd giving Chad Dawson his props?

    Would be more credible if you had Andre Ward winning the super 6. Everybody doubted him or rather wish it wouldn't happen until he wiped them out.
