Hey, I've got a 160 lb water filled heavybag hanging off my tree outside and some mats to stand on. I've heard that hand wraps are very important for protecting certain small muscles in your hands. however I've also heard that punching a water-filled heavy bag is better for your hands. I would prefer to workout barefisted, however if this is going to cause serious damage to my hands, I'll wrap em up. The bag does not have foam lining, just water bladder and cover. any insight much appreciated
dude i had a normal punching bag that got soak and froze to solid ice.. my hands killed but after hitting that, i feel i can hit anything. do what ever feel right to u and is comforable on ur hands. I havent hit a water bag but after this i wanta. i havent even heard of them,, tell me more about the water bag man. how much r they etc.. 160lbs that sick man
Why would you want to risk injuring your hands? As a boxer, your hands are your most valuable asset. Before asking this question again, i'd like you to answer this question for yourself: When you break your hands, which is a very real possibility, who are you going to ask to wipe your ass after you have taken a ****, because you sure as hell won't be able to. You may think that i'm joking, but I actually know someone who broke their right hand whilst hitting a punchbag barefisted, and he had to ask his girlfriend to wipe his ass, as he was making such a mess of it - literally, with his left hand - Think about it. If you are looking for ways to strengthen your hands, there are much better ways than this.
hahahahah,, ill start wiping my ass left hand now.. thats scarey to think about. i would just **** every time i was going to have a shower
